I don’t know about you but when I’m shopping for presents, I do like try and get something a bit unusual or something they wouldn’t necessarily buy for themselves. There are so many quirky and unusual gifts on the Uncommon Goods website so I thought I would share my favourites in an Uncommon Goods Gift Guide.
One thing I noticed while browsing the site was that you could filter your results into different categories, handmade, exclusive, made in the USA and recycled. I love that you can buy items that you know have been recycled. I’ve really been trying to cut down on using unnecessary things so this is a great idea, I wish more sites had this option. They feature handmade, organic and as I said recycled products and have never sold anything featuring leather, fur or feathers, nothing that brings harm to animals. They also sell products from artists and small manufactures, helping them share their business on a grander scale.
There are so many different categories that I wanted to look through and the first item that caught my attention was the Bedside Essentials Pocket, such a great idea, especially if you don’ have enough room for bedside tables either side of you bed.
There’s a vast amount of unique gifts for women which you can check out here but my favourites are definitely the Motivational Water Bottle, such a great way to stay on track, the Custom Cake Pedestal which would make a lovely bridal gift as it can be engraved with their wedding date. And finally, the Sunday Morning Candle is at the top of my list. Not unusual but it looks and sounds so nice. I couldn’t help but throw in something marble related and you can never have too many marble serving boards, I think I have three tucked away. This one is great though as it comes in two sections, smooth marble and mango wood, which slot together to create a lovely accent piece.
Another not so unusual item but I know they are popular at the moment, the Vintage Style Cinema Lightbox, but there are plenty of other quirky lighting options if you wanted something a little different.
Had I known they stocked so many adorable baby gifts I would have been straight on here when I was pregnant. From milestone baby cards, always a winner, to growths charts and a safari bamboo dinner set, there’s so much choice for not just newborns but up to two years old.
