Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette

I’ve raved about Charlotte Tilbury for a long time here on my blog, I love her lipsticks and I have a nice little collection coming along, but I’ve always wanted to try more from her range. When she first released her Instant Look In A Palette collection I loved them, the way you only needed the one palette just pulled me in, but at £49 it was a little too expensive for my liking. Recently however they were in the sale for just £29 and that was my chance to grab one.

I opted for the ‘Natural‘ palette as I’m all for the natural look. Featuring pretty champagne, pink and neutral shades it was exactly what I was after. I was told that the bronzer and highlighter included is very similar to the Filmstar Bronze & Glow palette which excited me greatly as that’s a product I have always wanted to try.

PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! The palette consists of two matte and one shimmer eyeshadows, two matte blush shades, a highlighter and a contour/bronzer shade, everything you need to complete a soft natural look. It’s no exaggeration when I say I use this palette everyday, I don’t use every part every day but the contour and blush shades I use without fail.

I love the soft pink blush shades, perfect for adding a pop of colour to your cheeks. Although it says ‘face bronze’ I use it in the places that I usually contour to add some colour and it looks so lovely and natural. The highlighter is gorgeous for a subtle look, applied more heavily though and it can be built up for a more dramatic look. It’s such a perfect shade for my skin tone. The pigmentation for the face products is brilliant, just what I would expect from a Charlotte Tilbury palette.

Moving onto the eyeshadows, being brutally honest when I first swatched them I was a little disappointed. Although soft and buttery feeling, they didn’t have the same pigmentation as the face products. However, upon actually using the eyeshadow shades, I now really love them. Just because they aren’t crazily pigmented doesn’t mean they don’t work at all, they actually provide a lovely subtle wash of colour and shimmer over the lids which for me is the perfect look for daytime, I don’t like to leave my lids bare so these are perfect, I especially love the ‘smoke’ shade just in my crease to provide definition. For a more dramatic evening look you can easily build the shades up.

PIN IT!Overall I am so impressed and in love with this palette. Not only does it provide a whole look in the palette, the product inside is just beautiful and I can’t get enough of it. Now that I’ve tried it, I would spend the full £49 as a treat. There’s also a ‘Seductive Beauty’ and a ‘Beauty Glow’ palette is warmer and darker shades are more up your street.
