Lancôme Grandiôse Liner

Any product that promises to help with perfecting eyeliner application I’m all for, I need all the help I can get. When the new Lancôme Grandiôse Liner* turned up I couldn’t wait to try it. It also turned up with licorice wheels which took all my willpower to not eat before taking pictures I might add. The Grandiôse Liner promises to help you master the perfect flick that’s long-wearing and a beautiful intense matte finish. So the question is, does it work?

This new eyeliner has an interesting packaging perk, as you can see from the pictures the handle can be clicked to either side for easy eyeliner application. Is it just a gimmick or does it actually work? Personally I find it more difficult to use once with the handle in the angled position as I find it just gets in the way so for me it’s a bit gimmicky.

The nib itself however is such a great shape that you can create precise sleek lines. It’s really soft and flexible which makes creating that flick a lot easier. The formula is super black which looks great and it doesn’t budge. For me it stayed put all day without any fading which I have never had from any liquid eyeliner before. With other brands I would apply my liner, then curl my lashes and even though the product was dry it would come off onto the lash curler, this liner did not do that and I was super impressed.

I still suck when it comes to creating a flick, I just can’t seem to get eyeliner right and I have found that this eyeliner doesn’t make things any easier. I’ve started to use sticky notes on the corners which is how I created the flicks in the following photos, but even then I still somehow manage to mess it up.

For £23.00 this is one super pricey eyeliner which I personally think is a bit hit or miss. You’re either going to love it or hate it. As for the revolutionary shape, it doesn’t make things any easier and you get just 1.4ml of product. The formula however is spot on. Have this formula and nib in a pen style eyeliner product like the Eyeko Skinny Liner and I think they will be onto a winner product.

Have you tried the Lancôme Grandiôse Liner? What are your thoughts on it?
