I mentioned in my QVS Haul post that I would be sharing my favourite brushes out of the bunch and a little review on each. I will also have a little giveaway at the end of the post so be sure to check that out for your chance to win some amazing prizes.
I still can’t quite believe that I’m June Blogger of the Month for QVS, it feels amazing to be working with such a great brand and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I’ve had so much fun testing out all the new brushes, it doesn’t matter how many you own I find new brushes are always fun to try. Out of the box of goodies I received from QVS, I have really enjoyed using seven of the brushes.
My favourite out of the bunch is the Flat Top Blusher Brush* which I use for foundation. It’s a really dense flat top brush that applies foundation flawlessly. I apply in circular motions and have found that it blends everything in so well. You don’t loose a lot of the product by using this brush, I find that sponges or other brushes soak the product up but this doesn’t appear to do that.
The next two are very similar, the Foundation Brush* and the Dual Ended Foundation & Concealer Brush* are obviously very similar but on the dual ended brush the foundation bristles are smaller and seem more compact and I love the shape or it. Both foundation brushes are great for applying liquid highlighter, I love using mine with the NYX Liquid Illuminator as you can keep applying over the top and the bristles don’t brush off or smudge what you have already applied.
The Brow Brush* is just brilliant for applying any type of brow product be it powder or a gel type product, I love using mine with the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade as it applies the colour so well. The bristles are so compact that the product can be accurately placed for filling in or even creating a straight line for more definition. It’s also really handy having the spooly on the other end as well.
The Powder Brush* is great is you want a light dusting of powder to set your makeup. Other powder brushes I own are quite dense and in that they deposit a lot of product onto the skin however these bristles have more room and move so it’s great for light layering.
I have found that all the brushes have washed up so incredibly well with zero bristles falling out at all. The quality of them is amazing and they are all so reasonably priced as well. It’s brilliant when you find excellent quality products for a fraction of the price of a high-end product.
I’m sneaking the tweezers in as they are just so darn good! I’ve had the same Bourjois ones for so long and they were never very good at picking up the fine hairs but these are so sharp and so precise, I get right in a pluck even the tiniest of hairs out. I also love that they are black as they look streamline and the pink of the Bourjois were annoying me! I got these in the Tweezer Triple Set* however they are sold separately in a different design as well.
