I am so behind on this review, I just seemed to miss it from my list. I recently bought a new shade and decided it was about time I actually shared my thoughts with you all. I also recently posted my thoughts on the newer Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laques which are the glossier version of these matte shades so make sure to check that out if you are in two minds about buying them.
The packaging is simple yet pretty. I like how the lids represent the colour of the product and the applicator makes applying the lipstick so easy. The shape provides accurate application and gives a clean smooth edge to the lip. Probably one of my favourite lip products in terms of packaging/application wise.
So Hap’pink – Although So Hap’pink is pinker in the tube, the arm swatch appears a little darker and appears to be a softer version of Nude-ist. However, once on my lips it does come off as the pink in the tube. I would describe it as a typical “my lips but better” shade.
Olé Flamingo – A vibrant fuchsia pink, I feel a bit Barbie-ish in it but it’s a gorgeous bright summery shade.
The formula of these lipsticks is just gorgeous and totally worth the hype that they received when they were first released. They stay put for a good couple of hours, even with drinking and eating they didn’t seem to rub off or appear patchy, the colour just faded on me ever so slightly. They don’t show any dry or cracked patches on the lips and they don’t dry my lips out, the formula is just beautifully creamy with amazing staying power. I will most definitely be purchasing more shades from this line in the future, it’s my favourite liquid lipstick formula. I love a good matte lip and this offers everything that a matte product should offer.
Have you tried these lip products? What are your thoughts on them?
