I haven’t written a Disappointing Products post in a while now and that is definitely a good thing. It’s never fun discovering products that you aren’t best pleased with, especially if they are very hyped up products.
Yes To Grapefruits Uneven Skin Tone Moisturiser – I tend to have quite the battle with Yes To products, some are great and some are really not and I was hoping that since I discovered that the Yes To Grapefruit Wipes were lovely that this moisturiser would be too. I decided to try it as it’s aimed at uneven skin tone which I do have however it just isn’t moisturising in the slightest. It leaves my face feeling tight and really quite dry. If I do want to use this, I can only do so if I’ve applied a heavy duty over night mask first, then it tends to be okay. Not one for the repurchase list though sadly.
Benefit Roller Lash mascara – Since writing my full review of this product here, I have changed my opinion on it slightly. I said in the full review that it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to at all, for me anyway. Since giving this another try, sometimes I do achieve amazing full lashes now but other days I am still left with stick straight non-curly lashes and still feel disappointed with this product over all. Still testing though, I’m determined to make this work.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Liner – Pink Petal – I have written about this collection of lip liners here but I wanted to include this shade in here as well. I don’t hate the whole product, they are actually fab as they are super moisturising, last really well and apply perfectly, the gripe I have with this is that the colour on the end of the liner is not the actual shade of the liner itself. It looks pink but in actual fact it’s a straight up nude which doesn’t suit me at all. I don’t swatch products in-store if there isn’t a tester as I don’t like to open and ruin products but although the shade doesn’t suit me and I was annoyed that it wasn’t as it appeared, it will be a great liner for when I need to outline my lips for a really dark shade or to neaten things up a little as it does match my natural skin colour perfectly.
