Little Beauty Haul | Essie, Max Factor & More

Nearly every weekend Brent and I go shopping and I just can’t resist new beauty bits. Saying that, it was 3 for 2 in Boots and I struggled to pick up a third item. Brent said why don’t I just leave it…leave a freebie? Are you insane boy?! Haha, I did find something in the end though, obviously.

In Boots I picked up the most bits, 3 for 2 is always such an amazing deal. I had read a blog post, can’t remember who’s though, about the new Vaseline Queen Bee lip balm and picked it up. I have such an unhealthy obsession with lip balms, I really didn’t need it but the idea of honeycomb was too much to resist. I’ve already used it a lot and I have to say, it just reminds me of the coco butter one to be honest. The 3 for 2 pick ups were Essie Summit of StyleL’oréal Collection Exclusive – Blake’s Pure Red and finally, Max Factor lipstick in Rosewood. I usually save my Boots points for the Essie polishes but I couldn’t resist the gorgeous gold glitter, it’s going to be perfect for the festive season. I’ve been umming and ahhing over buying one of the celeb Collection Exclusive lipsticks but after a lot of swatching and putting it back, I asked Brent to choose his favourite red and he chose Blake’s Pure Red, good choice my man! Finally, after a long hunt for a third item to pick up, I settled for the Max Factor lippy in Rosewood. A gorgeous pinky purple, it’s perfect for everyday wear and I’ve heard the formula of these are brilliant.

Asda at the moment currently have the Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Polishes for only £3.00 so I picked up Divine Wine which is a lovely berry shade. It will look beautiful with Essie Summit of Style over the top. And last but not least, whilst in Tesco’s the other day, I noticed their BD Barbara Daly stand has been revamped and rebranded to BD Trade Secrets. Everything looked very appealing but I restrained myself and only came away with one item, a Pure Matte Lip Melt in the shade Independent. It matched the Maybelline nail polish perfectly, a gorgeous berry shade and perfect for A/W.
