Back in the day, I would put my make-up on with my fingers and eyeshadow with the free sponge applicators that came with palettes. Nowadays, I have 3 pots full of brushes and it’s still expanding. I love trying new brushes and couldn’t wait to give a Nanshy brush a try. I’ve heard of Nanshy before and seen a couple of reviews on other blogs and they always sounded great. Nanshy is a vegan and cruelty-free brand which ticks even more boxes for me.
The brush I will be reviewing today is a blending brush from their new Masterful Collection which contains 12 brushes in the set. The blending brush* I will reviewing today has a shorter handle than the one available in the set and I was kindly sent it to try out.
The brush handle is white with a very subtle pearlescent sheen to it. It has a silver brush head with “Nanshy” engraved onto it and black writing on the white handle. It’s simple and sleek. The Masterful Collection is available in both black and white however I like the white, it’s different and they are easy to find in the stash. It also came in the cute little silk drawstring bag, it’s such a nice touch.
The bristles are synthetic which are great for both cream and powder products. Even having a shorter handle than the product that will be for sale, it’s really easy to control whilst blending. I first used this on holiday and it blends eyeshadow perfectly. Some brushes I found you’re sitting there doing the window-wiper motions for a while however a couple of seconds with this brush, and your eyeshadow is blended in beautifully.
I’ve already washed this a few times and it washes up well too. None of the hairs have shed which is a complete first! Never have I tried a brush where not a single bristle falls out, amazing.
Overall, I am very happy with this brush. This brush and the set aren’t available at the moment but if you go to Nanshy.com you can sign up to be notified by email of their release. Another set they have available at the moment retails at £34.95 which is an amazing price for 12 brushes so the price of the Masterful Collection will hopefully be around that price too.
Have you tried any brushes from Nanshy? What are your thoughts?
