This weeks smoothie definitely isn’t for the faint hearted. I half followed a recipe and half threw my own twist on it as an experiment. This one really tickles your taste buds, in a sour, bitter, zingy kinda way.
I peeled the lemon but didn’t peel the lime which I wish I had as you can taste and feel the rind once it’s blended which is odd. But saying that, the healthiness of this smoothie is fab, jam packed of fibre and vitamins, the goodness of it really weighs out the bitter taste. You could try and add some sugar to it to balance it out but I just drink it in swift gulps followed by water.
I enjoyed experimenting with new fruit and veggies this week and I’m still on the hunt for some more recipes. I love my new smoothie mug that I found in Matalan for £3.00. It’s perfect for drinking fancy drinks from, smoothies and iced drinks, I’ve been obsessed with iced caramel coffees this week too!
