Concealer is something that I have started to become obsessed with, I used to just use my trusty MAC Select Cover-up or their Studio Finish however I started to realised that it was creasing under my eyes and looking all kinds of funky, so I set out to find a new one. After a bit of researching different blog reviews, I decided that I wanted to try the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer as it sounded perfect for me.
PIN IT! PIN IT!On the tube it’s described as a 2-in-1 concealer and highlighter which is supposed to banish signs of fatigue and illuminate the eye area. It comes in a strange tube with a brush on the end, you squeeze the tube and the product comes out onto the brush so you can then just apply it straight to your under-eye area. I have to say this is slightly awkward as sometimes I squeeze too much, other times it’s not enough. Most people worry about using a brush direct to face is unhygienic, however since I am the only person that uses my make-up and I only apply it to two separate areas, I don’t worry about this. If I do have a blemish, I will apply this concealer with my finger otherwise I use the brush.
Now, does the product actually work? I have to say 100% for me, yes! After applying this to my under-eye area, it looks bright and illuminated and after powdering to set it, there’s no creasing at all. It’s easy to build this product up if your eye area is a little darker than normal after a late night and it doesn’t appear cakey or packed on. I also apply this down the centre of my nose to brighten it and it illuminates it perfectly. Sometimes I also apply it to my chin and cupid’s bow if I want extra glow but that’s only occasionally.
For someone that has dry skin, this works wonders in not sitting in the dry patches and making hem stand out more, it keeps my under-eyes and nose hydrated all throughout the day. The shade 10 Ivory really suits my pale skin and I will definitely be buying this over and over and over again. For the small price of £5.99 it’s a steal and depending how much you use at a time, it should last you a decent amount of time. If you can’t tell already, I love this product, and it’s now my new favourite concealer.
