The amazing Beth from Beth Blogs Beauty sent me a sneaky package for Christmas in the form of the beautiful Stila Color Me Pretty Lip & Cheek palette and I couldn’t be more grateful. As I mentioned in my Best of Beauty 2013 post, last year introduced me to lots of cream products and I fell in love with all of them, and this palette isn’t any different. I’ve never owned or even used anything by Stila before so I was very excited to try this for the first time.
The palette contains 5 limited addition convertible cream shades that can be worn on both the lips and cheeks and are all very pretty. It comes packaged in a silver artist style palette with a cardboard sleeve that has the information written on it. All the shades are very creamy to touch and to apply and they blend beautifully on the skin. I found that they can be quite sheer but can easily be built up to a more bold finish, especially on the lips.
Kitten – A pretty shimmery gold shade that looks gorgeous as a highlight on the tops of my cheekbones and also on my cupids bow. I am wearing this in the picture above and I love the way it glistens slightly in a certain light, don’t worry though, no disco ball faces here.
Peony – This shade is a soft peachy nude shade that could be used for creating a natural contoured face and also for a pretty nude lip too.
Gerbera – This is my most used shade from this palette as it’s a lovely peachy coral shade and I love wearing coral whether it be clothes of make-up, I’m sold. On my lips it looks awful but blended onto my cheeks with a stippling brush, this shade blends beautifully for a soft peachy glow. I’m wearing it in the picture above and I just know this will look amazing with a tan in the Summertime.
Rose – I used this darker berry shade on my lips in the picture above which I dabbed on for a soft tint however it can be built up for a more intense look. This shade also looks lovely on the cheeks as it gives you that “Just walked in from the cold” flush to the cheeks.
Petunia – A beautiful bright pink, this shade just screams Spring and Summer in the pan however it swatches softer than you’d think. A gorgeous sheer tint to the lips or cheeks this colour will go with a lot of different looks and will look fab with a tan.
All of the shades on both the cheek and lips don’t leave my skin feeling dry at all. On the lips they feel very moisturising and very comfortable to wear. Wear time, these lasted very well on my cheeks, Gerbera lasting all day in fact and didn’t even need topping up at all.
It’s now out of stock at a few online stores however I noticed it was still available from Stila.co.uk for £19.50. This palette is said to be worth £33.00 in total so you’re getting a great bargain and if you can, I’d highly recommend grabbing this quick while you still can.
Have you tired any Stila products? What do you think of them?
