This review is extremely late indeed and I have to apologise! I won the Macadamia Control hairspray* in a Baobella competition months ago and then was sent 4 sachets of the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque* to try out. I actually gave one of the sachets to my sister to try as I know how much she loves her Macadamia (she also went out and bought a tube) and have now fully used up the other sachets and therefore going to share my thoughts on these two items today.
Macadamia Control Hairspray* | 300ml | £17.45 – I won this from the Baobella site and couldn’t wait to use it. I love Macadamia packaging, it just looks so amazing and luxurious and the scent of this hairspray is divine, smells really light and fresh. The product is said to be fast drying without any stickiness or build-up, protects against UV rays and provide a medium to long-lasting hold. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue and also doesn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy or crisp which I love. However, personally I don’t think this hairspray provides medium to long-lasting hold at all. For me it’s a very light hold and hasn’t actually lasted very well in my hair. I used it the other day on my curls and actually found my curls fell out quite a bit after using this. I will say that for a quick spritz to keep hair controlled and fly away free on a night out, the handbag size of 100ml would come in handy, but I wouldn’t use this on my curly hair again unless I wanted soft beachy waves.
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque* | from £12.50 – Before trying this product, I had been lusting over it for so long and was so excited when I was offered the chance to review it as well. The sachets each had 30ml of product in and I managed to get about 3 uses out of each. At the time I had really long hair that was in desperate need of a cut and so I used this about once a week to hydrate the dry split ends. The masque is paraben-free which is always great and it’s supposed to rejuvenate the hair and make it more hydrated and shiny. I found that this made my hair really soft and shiny and really helped my dry damaged hair a lot! It also smells so yummy and amazing. I highly recommend this masque for anyone that wants soft shiny hair or if your hairs needs some TLC, I would definitely buy this and also it comes in three different sizes, 100ml, 250ml and 500ml.
