October Favourites 2013

Another month has passed and as I write this, Christmas is just around the corner now. October had a couple of fun events for me but now I just want Christmas to come, I love this time of year when everyone starts their shopping and it’s time for woolly hats and gloves, anyway, onto my favourite product of October.

Sephora Ultimate Moisture Serum | full review – In my full review I mention that it doesn’t work for me alone, however when I pair it with my Clinique Moisture Surge Intense, it’s amazing and they both leave my skin super soft and smooth. I have used these two together for the whole of October and really enjoy this serum now, I will be upset when it runs out.

Max Factor Ageless Elixir Foundation & Serum – I reviewed this ages ago but it’s a rubbish review, haha. I’ve used this foundation on and off for about 2 years and I always love it at Winter time because of the serum. It’s a 2-in-1 foundation, and works so well at keeping my skin hydrated throughout the day and lasts really well on the skin, I also love the buildable medium coverage it provides, it leaves my skin looking flawless and smooth. My all time favourite high-street foundation hands down.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer – I’ve used this for about 2 weeks now and I’m so in love with it! I will be writing a full review very soon so I don’t want to give away too much but I’ve never used a primer that has worked for my skin and this one really does. Want hydrated smooth skin all day? Yes please.

Essie Bahama Mama | review & swatches – I mentioned in the post that’s linked that I found this nail polish hard to work with, however I finally had some patience and let it dry properly and also found that two thick layers worked better than lots of thin ones and once I had that sussed, I loved having this shade on my claws. It’s the perfect A/W shade and I wore it for about 2 weeks straight. I just want to wear it all the time, it’s so pretty.

Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser | full review – I only had a small tester of this but I managed to get about 10 uses out of it and it’s brilliant! You can use it as a make-up remover as well as a gentle cleanser and it’s really good. I used it just to get the last debris of make-up left behind and my skin always felt so fresh and smooth afterwards. I can’t wait to buy the full size of this product.

From Beauty and the Chic – Dorothy Perkins Fur Collar Biker Boots Primark Parker Coat | Things Will Get Better | Yon-Ka Hydra Skin.

Favourite post(s) by fellow blogger –

Sigma 12 Piece Brush Set by Miss Make-Up Magpie. This was an amazing post with perfect pictures and as always, brilliant descriptions about every single brush. Amazing!

Bullying – My Story by Couture Girl. An extremely hard post to upload, Kayleigh was so brave to write about her story of being bullied and how she is now a few years later. It makes me sick the extent jealous girls go to in order to make themselves feel better because they feel threatened by someone else’s beauty and I just had to mention the moving and powerful story.

Favourite YouTube Video –

Draw My Life by Hannah Maggs. Such an amazing and moving story, this is such a well presented and thought out video with so much effort behind it. Hannah truly deserves all the happiness in the world. Psst, she also has an amazing blog.

Thought I would add a couple of extra things in my favourites from now on as I wanted to give a mention to fellow blogger’s who’s post’s have really impressed me. Let me know if you like this idea.
