A different type of post for you today and cutting a long story short so I don’t bore you, after my boyfriend moved back home, he had to go into a very small room but his old huge room came back to being available which meant a perfect excuse for me to whip out my overalls and get painting. I asked straight away if I could do the decorating and he agreed. Yipee. So I had in my head the whole time, a stone grey and a teal feature wall. He liked these colours and after a bit of fussing with the stone grey colour, we finally decided and he chose to have the cool patterned wallpaper on the old chimney breast.
The top pictures are before shots when it was just an empty room with horrible paint on the walls and then finally day 1 and 2 we got the paint on the walls and I am really pleased with it. In the pictures the feature wall looks a sea blue but it’s actually a really nice teal colour. Then his Grandad helped up put the wallpaper on which was a pain in the bee-hind but we finally did it. Then finally, the bed and carpet came on the same day, so the new carpet went down and we built the new bed. The new mattress had come on day 3 so we then just put it all together and put all the furniture in place.
It’s still not 100% complete as we want to put a 2 seat sofa in the bay window because that’s just an empty space at the moment, we want to put the guitars up on the wall which I think will look really cool and then above the bed we want to put 3 black and white canvas’ of Rome. I can’t wait to do the canvas’ as they will be actual photographs that we take when we go to Rome in September. It’s all very exciting. I can’t wait to decorate my own home one day. We opened a joint save to buy account the other day to start the mortgage ball rolling, I feel so grown up!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Lots of love
