Hey there lovelies. Since I can’t buy anything for 100 days due to my spending ban, you shall be seeing lots of reviews of products that I have been using recently in order to use things up, I hope you don’t mind. Today I’m doing my review on the very well known product It’s a 10!
I bought this about two months ago, back when I was allowed to buy things but shouldn’t have. I saw this all over the blogging world and mainly decided to try it because Fleur from Fleur De Force, I’m sure you’ve all heard of her, kept saying how amazing it was and when I saw it in TK Maxx for £14.99, I just had to snap it up. It said the RRP price was £33.00! Seriously?! After researching the price is actually around about the £15 mark but I’m ever so glad I bought it. It’s the most expensive hair care product I’ve ever purchased!
On the back it lists 10 things that it is supposed to do or provide your hair with which are:
- Maintenance of keratin strengthening treatments
- Increases styling and manageability
- Perfect for all hair types
- Replaces lost keratin
- Protects the natural keratin in your hair
- Protects against heat
- Restores hydration balance
- Detangles, defrizzes and adds shine
- Strengthens hair structure
- Seals cuticles fro extra silky hair
I spray a generous amount onto towel dried hair and leave it to do it’s business. As soon as it’s on my hair, I can feel straight away that it is smoother and even though it’s wet, it feels more conditioned. Once my hair is dry, it definitely feels sleeker and looks really shiny and if I dry my hair with a hair-dryer, which is very rarely, I don’t even need to straighten it after because it leaves my hair super sleek, shiny and nearly frizz free.
It does say that it detangles and that was one of the main things that intrigued me. Fleur kept saying how amazing it is at untangling her hair, so automatically I thought “I need to try this!” I have long thickish hair and even though I’m lucky enough that my hair looks sleek, it actually isn’t. Hairdressers have a right old time constantly brushing and combing it every few minutes because it tangles so easily. I rarely comb it after I’ve washed it as sometimes it can take me up to 45 minutes. That’s one of the two downsides to this product, it doesn’t help my tangles at all. It’s just as difficult to comb as it was before putting the product in, and I always leave it to soak in for about 5 minutes. All the products in the world do not seem to help my birds nest but never mind, I’ll just keep sleeping on it whilst it’s wet.
The other downside is that it smells like fake tan. That sweet biscuit scent. It’s not as strong as fake tan but it’s a strange scent to have on your hair. Nevertheless, I still love this product. For the most part, it does do most of the things it says on the bottle. It definitely feels and looks healthier after I’ve used it. I’ve used nearly half the bottle all ready as my hair is quite long so I have to be quite generous with it. I would definitely recommend this product if you have frizzy, dry or damaged hair as it does make it feel really soft and look more conditioned.
Have you used It’s a 10!? What did you think of it?
