Hey girlies and guylies. I got the NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Blush Palette for Christmas last year and for some reason I never did a review on it! How bad am I? I guess I just used to review what I liked/loved and used all the time but now I review everything I buy or get my hands on. Blogging is amazing!
So anyway, I’ve had this for a year now and I am completely in love with it. I can’t believe I didn’t review it sooner, what’s wrong with me? It is the only NARS product I own as it is a pricey brand so I can’t really afford to splash out too much but one day I will own more by them.
NARS packaging is one of my favourites. It’s super sleek and looks so good in your make-up bag. I love how compact it is and this is the only thing I take with me when I travel as it has everything, blush, bronzer and highlighter. It also has a big mirror on the lid when it’s opened which is always a bonus for on-the-go touch-ups. The only thing I would say against it is that the material is strange so it gets dirty really easily. But otherwise, it’s gorgeous!
The palette includes 4 blushers, a bronzer and a highlighter (as labled above) and they are super gorgeous colours. They are all really pigmented, sometimes I have a bit of trouble with the bronzer but for the most part, I don’t mind as I don’t want a lot of bonzer anyway. They are so soft and velvety and apply beautifully. I find some MAC blushers go a bit patchy on my skin, not all of them, just a couple that I have used but NARS doesn’t do it at all. The colours are so pretty so I’ll talk about each one of them in turn.
Hungry Heart (1) – this is the highligher from the palette which is from the Hungry Heart Duo palette. It’s super sparkly and is a perfect highlighter for nights out. I don’t use it day to day as it is really shimmery but on occasions it’s definitely my go to highlighter.
Casino – is the bronzer. Like I said above, it’s not as pigmented as the rest, but when I contour, I like to do it so it’s really subtle so that’s why I don’t mind it not being as pigmented. It’s not too shimmery so you can get away with using it as a contour. The shimmer is a gorgeous gold tone and so pretty.
Orgasm – is amazing! It’s one of my favourite blushers. It’s also NARS’s top selling colour. The name is questionable as are some of the other products names but at least you can’t call NARS dull! This colour is very pink with an orange undertone and gold shimmer and looks lovely in the Summer time.
Super Orgasm – is an even glitterier version of Orgasm. Whereas Orgasm has an orange undertone, this one is more pinky. Even more gold glitter so it’s a really shimmery one. It reminds me a bit of Benefit’s Coralista.
Desire – is Barbie’s blusher I swear. It’s a matte so there’s no shimmer at all and although it looks terrifying in the pan, if you don’t use too much, it is a really pretty colour. Candyfloss (cotton candy) pink best describes it.
Sin – is a beautiful shimmery plum goldy colour. It’s my favourite out of the whole palette. Can be really subtle but if you build it up, it’s so gorgeous. I love that it’s not too light and it’s not too dark, the tone if just right.
That’s all the colours. Can see in the swatches how lovely they are. This palette was £45.00. Although the blushers aren’t full size, they are still a decent amount and the palette is worth a lot if you split it up. However, the only downside is that it was limited additon last Christmas but if you look on ebay or somewhere, I’m sure you could find someone that’s selling theirs. Just make sure it’s genuine. However, all these blushers are available on their own to buy, YAY!
Have you used this palette before? What’s your favourite NARS product?
