SKINNY BRANDS SKINNY COCKTAILS – MARGIRITA & COSMO*

With all the hot weather we’ve been having recently it’s been the perfect time to relax in the garden. What’s better than the sun, a good book and a little cocktail while you (safety) soak up the rays? I’ve recently been introduced to some lovely new cocktails that are perfect for a girl’s night in or a BBQ.

After the successful release of Skinny Brands Skinny Lager earlier this year, they have released some ready-to-drink low calorie vegan friendly Skinny Cocktails that have only 90 calories per can. I don’t know about you but when I used to go out when I was younger I never realised the amount of calories in my drinks, there’s over 200 calories in just one bottle of Smirnoff Ice, yikes! I’m all for healthy eating, exercising and enjoying a tipple, but knowing there are now some delicious ‘healthier’ cocktails on the market I know what I will be choosing from now on.

PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! I love cocktails when I’m out but can’t be bothered with the faffing at home so these 250ml cans are so convenient and great for BBQ’s and get togethers. They taste exactly the same as normal cocktails and have the same amount of alcohol in as well, the only difference is that they have just 90 calories and less sugar than a normal cocktail.

PIN IT!I enjoyed a couple of mine with my mum in her garden last week, along with a couple of bags of Ten Acre popcorn, which are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, are also gluten/diary free and so delicious!! The Cosmo is my favourite but the Margarita is so refreshing in the heat. For just £1.80 per can in Tesco they are an affordable, healthier (and more convenient) option. I will definitely be stocking up for any impromptu nights in or BBQ’s.

If you’re not really a cocktail drinker, then the release of Skinny Wines and Skinny Ciders & Beers might be more up your street. These include Sauvignon, Merlot and Frizzante, speciality beers and spirits all launching throughout 2017 and 2018.

I think it’s time to invite your girls round and enjoy a cocktail or two!
