Nude Lips Roundup

Although we are now officially in Spring and I should be whipping out the pastel and brights shades, I’ve found myself still leaning towards my nudes and thought I would share with you all a nude lips roundup. I’ve always owned a lot of lip shades but I never actually wore them as much as I should, that has all changed now and I find myself sitting at home with lipstick on during the week, and I’m not even sorry.

Nude Lips - Beauty and the ChicPIN IT! If you are more of a pinky nude kinda gal then the YSL Rouge Volutpé in Nude Beige will be one for you. It’s subtle and wearable and the formula is so creamy that it feels great on the lips. Another pink tone nude but in a matte formula is Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk, a hugely popular shade and for good reason. It’s such a beautiful subtle wash of colour and although it’s a matte finish it’s super moisturising and nourishing.

Nude Lips - Beauty and the ChicPIN IT! If you’re looking for a more typical nude shade then the new Green People Velvet Matte in Damask Rose* will be great for you. It’s more on the sheerer side of the spectrum so makes it great for daytime wear. It’s also said to be a dupe of MAC’s Kinda Sexy. It officially launches on April 4th and you can get 15% off the new lippy using the code ‘NUDEOBSESSION’

Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria is so similar to Pillow talk but it’s a typical nude whereas Pillow Talk has the pink undertone to it. Very Victoria is such a beautiful colour and the shade I have been wearing non-stop recently. Charlotte’s Matte Revolution lipsticks are so comfortable to wear and definitely my favourite lipstick formula.

Nude Lips - Beauty and the ChicPIN IT! Getting onto the more opaque won’t budge all day lipsticks I now turn to ColourPop. They have such an extensive range of colours and the formulas are pretty impressive. My two favourite shades from a recent ColourPop haul are Tootsi and Trap. Tootsi is one of their Lippie Stix, they are still in the matte family but they are a bit more forgiving on the lips. They are so easy to apply and have great longevity. Trap is an Ultra Matte Lip and a little more drying when it comes to the formula but these products do not budge! This shade has a slight greyish undertone to it but it’s a great colour if you want a nude that packs a punch.
