Every year I say I want to try more brands and every year I never really do but this is my year. I’ve had the opportunity to try some travel sized products of some new brands and it’s safe to say I have fallen in love with them, there’s also a couple of brands I already love but want to venture out into different categories and see what else they have to offer. I still love to buy makeup but instead of going crazy all the time I want to save and get a few high-end pieces that I otherwise wouldn’t have bought. I still love high-street makeup but this year I want to branch out into some more luxury products and give them a test drive.
I have always wanted to try this brand, I’ve heard wonderful things about them but only recently got the chance. At Christmas I was able to try the Caudalie Vinosoure Cracker* which included three travels sized products. These three items I have loved using, I’m still going on two of them as they are such generous sizes. It’s safe to say that I want to try more from this brand, their products aren’t too expensive and Escentual usually have a 1/3 off French pharmacy a couple of times a year (right now for example) which is a great opportunity to snap up some goodies on a good deal. Items on my wishlist include all the full sizes of the products from the cracker: Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet, Moisturising Mask, Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum and also the Beauty Elixir, which has been a beauty blogger favourite for years now.
I own a few of her lipsticks and a couple of lip liners however I am yet to try more from the range. I’ve had a couple of samples of a foundation which I have really liked but every single time I go on the site to try something new I end up finishing with a lipstick, I ordered another one just two days ago, I’m
not sorry, I couldn’t resist the lipstick version of Pillow Talk!!! Charlotte’s products are not only beautifully packaged, even the cardboard boxes are gorgeous but the products themselves are fantastic. I have both the Matte Revolution and K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick formulas and they are just beautiful, my favourite lip formula around. However, it’s time to finally branch out and try more from her amazing brand, products on my hit list: Filmstar Bronze & Glow, The Golden Goddess Eye Palette, The Dolce Vita Eye Palette, Amber Haze Colour Chameleon, Magic Foundation and Glastonberry Matte Revolution lipstick. To be honest I may just scrap that list and say the entire Charlotte Tilbury line, it’s a lot easier!
I’ve only tried a couple of things from Chanel before but what I have tried I haven’t been disappointed with. I loved the Vitalumiére Aqua foundation, it was such a light-weight natural finish and perfect for summer time. Most of the Chanel foundations have a luminous finish which I love and the packaging is just beautiful, who can resist it?! I’d also love to try more of the Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks as the one I do have is so nice, such an easy colour to wear and so moisturising. Products I want to try this year: Rouge Coco Shine in Boy, Le Blanc De Chanel, Vitalumiére foundation, Soleil Tan De Chanel and Perfection Lumiére.
From NUXE I have tried a few travel sized products now thanks to receiving the NUXE 10 Beauty Treasure Countdown Gift Set* at Christmas time. It included some lovely treats from products that I haven’t heard about before. A lot of beauty bloggers have shared how great the Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil is and it is brilliant, I use it every time I finish styling my hair and it feels so incredibly soft, it’s amazing. The Gentle Exfoliating Gel with Rose Petals is another of the stand out products that I’ve really enjoyed and would definitly love the full size at some point. I usually stick to scrubs that are quite abrasive and this is a great alternative for a softer more gentler scrub. The Rêve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream smells amazing and another product that I would love the full size of, it’s so moisturising but doesn’t leave a greasy residue.
