Books That Will Help You Get Your Shit Together in 2017

It’s a new year so why not work on a new version of yourself, no one needs to make drastic changes here but a more organised, stress-free version of myself sounds brilliant to me. Getting stressy over small things such as having arguments over chicken or how to cut carrots properly are situations that I want to see less of in 2017. I want to cut out the people that don’t deserve my time and energy and focus on being happy with Brent and George. It’s the year for letting go.

There are a few books that I have seen floating about on Instagram recently, most bloggers have the same books in their images, we all end up talking about the same things but I like that because it brings things to my attention that I wouldn’t have known about. Two books that I have seen everywhere recently: #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso and The Life Changing Magic of Not giving a F**k by Sarah Knight.

#GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso – I have wanted to read this for a while but I could never find it in my local book stores until very recently when they had just one left, that’s fate am I right? The story of how one women created an empire known as Nasty Gal, a clothing brand I have swooned over a couple of times the past few years. Written by the girl boss herself, I can’t wait to get stuck in and see if it helps me with my own business.

The Life Changing Magic of Not giving a F**k by Sarah Knight – Not going to lie, when I first saw this popping up on Instagram I was mostly attracted to the actual look of the book and how great it would work as a blog prop. When I actually read what it was about I bought it in an instant. The amount of shit I have put up with recently it couldn’t have come at a better time. Upon reading just the first few pages I was absolutely hooked and the following week went back to buy Get Your Sh*t Together because, you know why not?! So I shall continue to read my self helps books well into 2017 for sure, they are fun light-hearted reads and I recommend you give them a shot too because you’ll be surprised just how relaxed you feel when you stop giving a f**k about worthless people and things.

No doubt I will be sharing these books in more depth at some point throughout the year, I’ve nearly finished The Life Changing Magic all ready and it’s a cracker!

Which books do you recommend for 2017?
