During this past year I have become more of a faux lash lover, I used to sometimes wear them out clubbing when I was younger and then I stopped once I got older. I have such rubbish lashes that I feel a lot more confident when I have some light natural ones on. Since Christmas is next week it’s time to start thinking about our New Year’s Eve outfit and makeup. Today I wanted to share the perfect lashes for the party season that I know you will love, even if you’re a faux lash newbie like me.
I have five pairs to show you today and I swear you will like at least one of them if you’re into wearing fake lashes. I have quite small eyes and big huge lashes weigh my lashes down and are so uncomfortable to wear but all these styles are super comfortable on and vary from high-street to high-end in price.
I have written about Esqido lashes before and they are beautiful stunning lashes. Made from naturally shed mink hairs, they can be used up to 25 times if looked after properly. My previous reviews are for the Unforgettable Lashes which are long and fluttery and then also the Little Black Lash style which are a lot more natural. If you like big full lashes then you should check out Lash Named Desire* ($35) which feature a criss-cross effect that adds a little bit of drama but not too over the top. Miss Dolly* ($35) are longer in length and also have alternating lengths as well to create a playful flirty look. Finally, BFF* ($35 and pictured below) are the longest lashes out of the three but aren’t as full making them a more natural looking choice.
If you are on the hunt for a new glue but suffer with sensitive eyes then you definitely need to check out the Esqido Companion Eyelash Glue* ($10) as it doesn’t irritate the eyes at all and provides long-lasting lashes. The brush applicator makes applying the glue to the band incredibly easy and I find this glue is so much better than the DUO Lash Adhesive.

Now if you are like me and love a little bit of length but want them to look totally natural and pass for your own lashes then the new Cheryl Lashes by Eylure are the ones for you and my personal favourites. They both feature an invisible band which makes them look so much more natural and they are super comfortable to wear. I wore the First Date lashes out to dinner the other night and not only did my mum think they were my actual lashes – I wish – I forgot I was even wearing them because they were so comfortable.
First Date* (£5.90) are the most natural lashes I have ever seen. They add a little bit more fullness and length and just look like your lashes but a little better. Sexy Señorita* (£5.90) are that little bit longer and a little bit sexier but still look so natural and again, they’re really comfortable to wear. These are such beautiful lashes and I can’t recommend them enough, I can’t wait to wear them again, they were so easy to apply.
The Cheryl Lashes by Eylure have definitely changed my opinion about wear falsies, I want to wear them all the time now and I’ve even asked for the Fleur De Force Eylure lashes for Christmas. Any of these lashes would be beautiful for your work’s Christmas party or welcoming in the New Year, whether you decide to go full and fluttery or simple and subtle you can’t go wrong with these beautiful lashes.
Will you be wearing falsies for Christmas or New Year? Any recommendations?
