I recently posted a Mini NYX Haul and promised that I would write a full review on the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade. I’ve wanted to try the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade for a while now but decided to opt for a cheaper option that sounded just as good. Ever since NYX landed on the shelves of Boots, I’ve been a lot more attracted to buying from the brand now that it’s more accessible. I think everyone struggles with ordering new makeup online as swatches are not always accurate, however now that the brand is readily available I’m more than happy to go on a spending spree.
Growing up I was never the kid that plucked her eyebrows way too thin of shaved half of them off, I just used to neaten them up and remove my monobrow – cringe. Luckily this means that I’m pretty blessed in the eyebrow department, I have the odd sparse area and my right eyebrow tail is longer than my left so I do need to touch them up and fill them in slightly. My eyebrows are my only facial feature that I actually like and needless to say I hate going out without filling them in. If I don’t wear makeup for a day, I always put my brows on.
The shade Brunette seemed the best colour match for me, however on first use I thought it was slightly too dark but the more I’ve used it, the more I think it’s the perfect match for me. I use my QVS Brow Brush* to apply it as I can get nice precise lines. I never fill my brows in at the front as I feel this gives a more natural look. I just like mine to appear more full and I also fill in my more sparse areas.
As you can see from above, the colour is near identical to my natural brow shade. I love how this product applies and it stays put all day. I’ve used it every day since buying it, gone are the days of only using a product once I’ve photographed it, I’m far too impatient for that these days. The name is perfect for this product, it definitely tames the hairs as it’s slightly waxy and filling in the eyebrows is the finishing touch to any look, without a doubt brows frame the face.
The packaging is very compact and small so it’s travel friendly, the shape also means it slots into Muji drawers nicely. It looks a lot more expensive than what it actually is. The NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade is only £5.50 from Boots and you get a huge 5g of product. Compared to the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade where you only get 4g and it will set you back £15.00, I still want to try it though, the beauty blogger in me is desperate for a dupe post! I love this product and I will most definitely be repurchasing it. Who doesn’t love having a great quality product for a small price?
Have you tried the NYX Tame & Frame Brow Pomade? What are you thoughts on it?
