Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Duo

It’s been 5 days since I last posted and for that I apologise, Brent had the week off and although we were super busy nearly everyday, I loved not sitting at my desk constantly and just wanted to have a little break and enjoy our time together properly.

Today I am back from my mini break with a post about two beautiful new lipsticks. A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to some lipsticks from a brand that I am very quickly falling in love with. Charlotte Tilbury products are so aesthetically pleasing and by far one of the most luxurious brands out there. I went on the site with the intention of buying one new lippy and ended up with two. Just a normal shopping experience then really!

After a big debate with myself over which shade to get, I ended up running a Twitter poll and then bought two anyway. I saw on the Charlotte Tilbury homepage a beautiful model wearing pretty pink lipstick and instantly wanted that shade. I then saw that it was available as part of a duo which is new and exclusive and couldn’t resist. The shades in question are Between the Sheets and Kiss Chase both shades of which are named by loyal CT fans. The lipsticks were released around Valentine’s Day and are still available but hurry, they won’t last for much longer!

The packaging is just stunning and I’m still hoarding the boxes now, despite not needing them and one actually being ripped, I just can’t bear to throw them away! Burgundy is my favourite shade to wear in both beauty products and fashion which makes me love the branding even more. Did I mention the burgundy is paired with gold? Ahhh just so pretty.

KISS CHASE

This is the original shade that I was planning on buying. It’s a beautiful soft berry shade that I just love to wear, it’s one of my favourite shades. The formulation of the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks is just beautiful, so hydrating and not drying on the lips at all. I love the slight glossy finish that it has and the light-diffusing pigments catch the light in a beautiful way that actually makes my lips look plump and appear fuller.

I paired mine with the Lip Cheat lip liner in Crazy in Love and I think they go together so well. Wear time is just brilliant, with eating and drinking this lipstick stayed put the entire time, lasting about 3 hours in total before I needed a little touch-up. Such a beautiful colour and formulation, Kiss Chase has quickly become one of my favourite lipsticks to wear.

BETWEEN THE SHEETS

When I first ordered the duo I started to worry that this shade wouldn’t suit me as it looks very pale on the model and pale nude lipsticks do not suit me at all. Luckily in person it looks a little bit darker in the bullet than it does online and has more of a pinky tone to it. I already own a Matte Revolution lipstick and love the formula as although they are matte, they don’t feel drying on the lips at all, and they don’t sit in any dry patches.

Once I actually applied this lipstick I instantly fell in love. The colour is actually perfect for me and I find it does suit my skin tone, so I was worrying for nothing! The formula leaves the lips feeling hydrated and again, the wear time is brilliant and being a lighter colour means it’s less obvious when it wears off a bit. My lips are quite pigmented naturally and I struggle to find light shades that cover over my natural colouring but this shade does that and I love the way this one looks.

Online it suggests pairing this shade with the Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk however I pair it with Rimmel Eastend Snob lip liner and it makes a beautiful duo.

I selected two samples along with my order and chose Bitch Perfect lipstick and the new Magic Foundation. I haven’t tried the lipstick sample yet but I managed to get two uses out of the foundation sampler. I chose the shade 1 Fair and it’s a perfect match for my pale skin tone and I loved the finish of it. It’s safe to say I now want it in full size!

I’m such a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury products now and have a wishlist the length of my arm. Although I only own lip products, everything from the packaging to the formula is just perfect, I no longer lust after MAC lipsticks, I lust after CT ones.
