I used to wear extensions when I was 18, they were actually my sisters so they weren’t the best match but I liked the added volume I used to get. Before George was born I received a complete set of my own and it’s about time I share them with you!
I was asked by Irresistible Me if I would like to try something from their site. After a lot of umming and ahhing, I decided on the Royal Remi* extensions. From the photographs online, they looked so natural and pretty and I love that they can be washed, cut, heat styled and even dyed. I opted for Royal Medium Brown and it is the perfect match!
I used to have ombré hair and decided to dye over it whilst I was pregnant. However once George was born, I had my drug reaction and I couldn’t dye my hair for a while so I couldn’t use the extensions as the colour had washed out and my ends where a lot lighter so they didn’t match again. I re-dyed it recently and hooray, they match again. The good thing though is that they are a perfect match for my natural hair colour anyway, so once the light has grown out, I won’t need to dye my hair anymore and I can still use the extensions.
They come packaged in a plastic sleeve with a 1 piece clip sealed in it’s own compartment and the rest of the hair is in the bigger compartment. This is so you can test the single clip and check that the colour is correct for your hair, if not you send them back for a different shade.
I asked for a 200g set which includes 10 clips: 1 pc of 4 clips (7.5″), 2 pcs of 3 clips (6″), 5 pcs of 2 clips (4″), 2 pcs of 1 clip (1.2″) The great thing about these extensions is that the 4 clip extension is a triple weft which is quite thick and adds so much volume. They also have a 140g set which contains 8 pieces and a 100g set which contains 7.
I chose 20″ for the length as I wanted them to be fairly long but if they were too long I could just trim them to the length I wanted. Other lengths available are: 14″, 16″, 18″ and 24″.
They are so silky and brush out really easily, especially when using a specialized brush for curly hair. I have no trouble curling them and the curls stay in so well, using my Babyliss Pro Conical Wand I’m left with such a pretty soft wave.PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT!
I’m not the best at clipping in extensions, I haven’t done it for a while and I’m a little rusty but as you can see, when they are straight they are a bit long for me and don’t look natural at all. The top blends nicely but the the length is too long. I then cut them a little, curled them and tried again and I think they look amazing. The above picture I had 7 pieces in in total, I left out 3 of the 2 clips as my head just isn’t big enough to fit them all in! But I seriously love the way they look and they look so natural.
I’m still a little bit self-conscious when I wear them as I think everyone can tell I’m wearing extensions, what if people can see the clips?! Is a clip hanging half way down my back? I decided to take some clips out, and had a one piece clip each side and one three piece clip at the back and it just added some volume and it was less for me to worry about. I loved the added thickness so much! Now the length has been trimmed, they look great straight as well and I now go out wearing just the three clips for added volume and I love how it looks.
These extensions are just brilliant and looked after properly, they will last a long long time. They cost $129/£89, currently on offer for $89/£61, they are well worth their price tag. If you’re in the market for a new set of extensions, I highly recommend Irresistible Me.

These look gorgeous, so thick and long, they’re a perfect match too. I really wish I could wear extensions but with my hair being blonde it’s so hard to find that perfect match.
