No7 to the Rescue

If you’ve been reading my blog recently you will know I had quite a severe reaction to penicillin whilst in hospital, once that cleared my skin has become incredibly sensitive. When I started to wear makeup again all my mascaras were causing my eyes to become really itchy and my eyes were swelling up again so I decided to try a brand I haven’t ever really used, No7 to the rescue!

I knew that the brand to try for extremely sensitive eyes was No7 as all their products are hypoallergenic. They had a big range to choose from but once I was told there was a goody bag available with the new Velvet Lash Mascara  I was swayed and bought this one. It’s said to offer volume and I love the big bushy brush. I must admit, the copper packaging really enticed me as well, who doesn’t love the copper trend at the moment?

This post is more of a first impressions post as I have only used it a handful of times, however I am so impressed so far. Since wearing this mascara my eyes haven’t swollen, gone red at all or been itchy. I also found the formula is a little drier than other mascaras I have tried which I personally love. I hate super wet mascaras, they seem to pull my lashes down whereas this one holds a curl which is rare with my stubborn lashes.

Now what did I get in the little goody bag? A small sample of the Skin Illuminator, this can be worn on it’s own or under makeup as an illuminating base, I can’t wait to use this, I love products like this and it’s a brilliant sized sample. Another sample is the really dinky eyeshadow, it’s so cute! This shade is available in their Forest Fruits Trio  and it’s such a pretty sparkly purple colour. I love applying shades like this all over the lid and blending it out for a super simple smoky eye. Finally, I received another mascara, the Intense Volume mascara  which is very handy as now I have two to choose from and neither will irritate my eyes.

If you suffer with really sensitive eyes I highly recommend trying No7 instead of the usual high-street brands. I used to work in Boots when I was 18 but I never really gave the line a proper try and now I regret it a little, I’ve clearly been missing out!

Have you tried any No7 products before? Which would you recommend?
