September Favourites 2015

Another month has passed and September has gone so so quickly. I survived the month when all spiders seem to appear out of every nook and cranny – Phew!  I have some oldy but goody type products this month and a couple of new mentions but I haven’t been buying anything new recently and I’ve been creating the same look over and over, adventurous I know.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation – This is my second bottle of this product as I love it that much. I have dry skin and this leaves such a dewy glowing complexion to my skin. I still powder my base to set it into place as my face tends to eat product straight up and even with powder it just leaves my skin looking luminous and healthy and the staying power on me is excellent. I saw another blogger mention on Twitter that the product was being discontinued so I ran out and bought two bottles as back up. Turns out they have just redesigned the packaging but sometimes that means they mess with the formula too so I’m glad I have backups of the formula I love.

Rimmel Match Perfection concealer – Using the concealer version with the foundation makes them a winning combo. The concealer is great for brightening the under eyes whilst still providing a good coverage that isn’t caky. I also use this on any redness and all the areas that I want to look lifted such as my cheekbones. This again is my second, maybe even third tube, it’s just brilliant stuff and I highly recommend them both if you suffer with dry skin also.

Stippling Brush – This is just a stippling brush that I got from a makeup course but any big stippling brush would be just as great. I’ve been using this for applying my blusher which for the past 2 weeks has been any of my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers. It just blends the fine soft powder out beautifully without appearing patchy. Because the bristles are so thin, it makes building up colour really easy. I’ve never used this product for powder products before, only cream products but it works wonders.

BD Trade SecretsIndependent – I bought this from Tesco at the beginning of the year and I’m not sure if this is an old product or from their newly re-vamped range. The colour is just gorgeous and I haven’t stopped wearing it since Autumn began. A rich beautiful berry shade, it’s perfect for autumn/winter and doesn’t feel drying on the lips. Plus it’s really easy to apply

Herbal Essences Nourish Me Butter Shampoo – I’ve always loved Herbal Essences but this nourishing shampoo is amazing. It smells incredible, good enough to eat! It really does nourish my hair so well and leaves it feeling smooth, silky and frizz free. I will most definitely be repurchasing this and will also be getting my hands on the conditioner too.
