Everyday Summer Makeup

I’ve been wearing the same makeup look for a while now, changing the odd product here and there but for the most part I’ve kept things simple for the warmer weather we’ve been having.

I’ve kept the base really light with just a light layering of the Revlon Photoready Foundation on any uneven skintone, my nose, chin and cheeks and blended it out with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer under my eyes and on the sides of my nose just for any redness that is still showing through. I haven’t been powdering as I have dry skin and the dewiness these two base products leave is lovely.

For blush I have been mixing it up with either the Bourjois Creme Blush in 3 Rose Tender  or Luminous Flush from the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, both of which add a lovely soft pink flush to the cheeks. A little dusting of MAC Soft & Gentle for a little extra highlight, just to lift my cheekbones. Eyebrows are always the same with my Soap & Glory Archery and then setting them in place with the Maybelline Brow Drama.

For my eyes I’ve whipped out my Urban Decay Smoked Palette, I love the shades in here and I love to do a subtle smoky eye with just one shade and blending it out. I’ve rediscovered the shade Barlust which is a gorgeous brown with a slight purple tone to it, it’s so so pretty. I then line my top lash line with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Rockstar to make my lashes appear fuller. And then finally, a waterproof mascara, Maybelline Big Eyes, to hold the curl all day. This is a brilliant mascara and I will definitely repurchase it. It separates my lashes wonderfully and holds the curl and fullness all day long. Also being waterproof, it’s been perfect for the warmer weather.
