MAC Soft & Gentle has been on my wishlist for such a long time now, one of those cult products that every blogger or beauty addict seems to own or want to own. I finally picked it up and I am so glad that I did!
First things first though, I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of the new packaging, it looks a but spaceified to me, I feel as though the old flatter packaging was nicer and appealed to me a lot more but for the actual product itself, if it came in a tin can I would still want to use it!

Soft & Gentle is a mineralize skinfinish, one of my favourite types of products made by MAC. I used to use the powder every day for about 4 years but I haven’t been able to repurchase it again, I will eventually though and the formula of these are so gorgeous and lightweight.
Described as a gilded peach, this highlighter has an almost rose gold tone to it, not what I expected but I love it. One gentle swipe of the product is more than enough and leaves a gorgeous glow. I apply mine to the tops of my cheekbones and cupids bow and it catches the light beautifully without looking shiny or over the top. It can easily be amped up if you want more of an impact for evening wear or a night out. Mineralize skinfinishes are so finely mild, making them soft and light. Staring at it now, it just looks like such a luxurious product!
For £24.00 you get 10g of product, a little bit eye watering at first but for the amount that you actually need to use, this product is going to last me a couple of years at least. It’s a hugely popular product and for good reason, it deserves all the attention it gets, it’s such a beautiful powder.

I love Soft and Gentle such a gorgeous highlighter – I picked it up while I was on holiday and fell in love. I have to agree I’m not a big fan of the packaging I did prefer the original and does look so luxurious when applied and in the pan!

MAC Soft&Gentle was my first highlighter that I purchased. Of course I got it cause of Youtube since everyone raved about it and I ended up loving it 🙂 You reminded me that I have to dig it up again from my stash and use it.

Beauty Bloss
I bought this years ago, but have only worn it a handful of times. I actually don’t really like it. Its seems to give a greeny gold look to my skin (?) not sure what that’s all about. If I use very very lightly I can sort of get on board but I have plenty of other highlighters I like so much more. It’s a bit upsetting because it look so damn gorgeous on others, it just doesn’t work for me 🙁
