The Bedside Table Drawer

Since I redecorated my bedroom, I finally have places to actually store my beauty products properly and no just dumped somewhere. One place is my night-time beauty bits. From not even having a bedside table and just having my bits floating about nearby, I now have a whole drawer for my night-time beauty bits neatly tucked away. It’s lovely, my inner Monica couldn’t be prouder.

When I get into bed I always start with my lips first by exfoliating them with either my LUSH Bubblegum lip scrub or the LUSH Vanilla & Chocolate flavour lip scrub. I prefer doing this at night as it creates a smooth base for the intensive lip balm. Which leads me onto my next item, the NUXE Réve de Miel is a great intensive lip balm but you only need a tiny amount or you’ll wake up with a grimy residue on your lips. For times when I just need a little bit of moisture,  I just re-apply the Too Cool Maybelline Baby Lips as much as I like. It’s one of their menthol lip balms that offers 8 hour hydration and it’s great for the nights when I don’t need a thick balm like NUXE.

For my paws I like to apply a hand cream first, usually the Antipodes Jubilation Ultra Nourishing Hand & Body Cream* as it sinks into the skin really quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. If I fancy a cream that has a nicer scent, the Antipodes smells a bit earthy to me, I like to use the EOS Hand Cream in Berry Blossom as it smells amazing and it still offers a great amount of hydration. The shape of it is so cute as well and it fits nicely in my drawers. Finally, the last step in my nighttime ritual is the most important to me. The Burt’s Bee’s Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream is amazing at soothing cracked skin and raggedy cuticles. It smells amazing and sinks into the skin almost instantly. After a couple of days use, your cuticles will have never looked better, this stuff is beyond brilliant.
