February Favourites 2015

I usually flit between different products all month and just end up using some more than others and some impress me more than others. February however was a month of using just these products over and over again. If I don’t use these products, I don’t feel complete and there’s one in here that I was too hard on when I first used it.

YSL Black Opium – review
One of the best smelling scents I have ever whiffed. A mixture of vanilla and black coffee….yes you read that correctly, it’s a deep sultry scent that’s perfect for evening wear, although I wear it in the day time too. Seriously, this scent is just gorgeous I can’t even describe it. The bottle is really unique too and looks so pretty in my collection. The reason I love this though? On me the longevity is nothing I have ever had before. I spritz a bit of this in the morning, and it lasts all day long. It wears off slightly as in it’s not as strong as when you first spray it but by the evening I still have a lovely lingering scent of it and never need to top up throughout the day, it’s incredible.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush | Seductive Pink – review
A full review will be coming very soon but this blush has been on my cheeks everyday since I bought it. It’s such a beautiful soft pink that blends really well and super pigmented that you only need a tiny bit. The formula reminds me of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers, but more on that another day….

YSL Touch Eclat – review
This is the product I was way too harsh on. I used it a fair few times, wasn’t sure about it and stopped using it for about 6 months. Last month I decided to just give it a break and try again and oh my I love it! After I apply my concealer, I apply this on my cheekbones, down the centre of my nose, cupids bow and a little on my under eyes and it just brightens everything up nicely. It has a pink tone to it which makes my skin have such a pretty sheen, it’s just lovely and I take back any bad feelings I felt previously.

Zoeva Face Shape Brush
At first I didn’t really know what to do with this brush, it was great for applying cream contour to the face but not for blending it out. I randomly used it on my concealer one day and it’s perfect for this. I dab the products into the skin rather than circular motions and it blends it all in perfectly and gives me an almost airbrushed look, it’s great.

Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer | Tiki
I received this in a beauty swap and knew that it would be perfect as a highlighter not a bronzer and it really is, it’s far too light even for the palest of skin tones. As a highlighter however, it’s the perfect mixture of golden tones and sheen and doesn’t make you look oily or over-dewy, it’s just enough to illuminate the face.

Milani Baked Bronzer | Glow
I’m usually not a shimmery bronzer type of gal but this one is very subtle in the shimmer department. It’s the perfect toned bronzer for my pale skin and warms up my complexion nicely. I also love how the gold veining is throughout the product and not just an overspray like most products.
