Current Favourite Lip Combo

The “Kylie Jenner” lip has taken the blogging world by storm, it’s slightly ridiculous how much media attention one persons lips can get. Personally, I think they started off looking plump and lustworthy but are a bit unsightly now and people have started to out draw their own lips in a bid to copy her look. This post is not that. This is simply me copying Ingrid from MissGlamorazzi’s favourite lip colour. She mentioned in a Vlogmas video that she loved this lipstick and it has quickly become my favourite as well.

I own a ridiculous amount of lip products but last year I hardly ever wore them. Towards the end of last year and so far this year, I’ve started wearing some type of lip product every time I went or go out. I found a combo that I have fallen in love with and you would have seen a sneak peak of in my January Favourites 2015 post.

MAC Syrup
This is a Lustre lipstick which I don’t think I have ever owned before. I love how moisturising it is on the lips and it provides a soft sheen to the finished look. The colour is fab for my pale skin tone and makes my lips look plumper without having to over line my natural lip line.

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner | Eastend Snob
This is an incredibly soft and creamy lip pencil and makes application so easy. The shade blends into my lips really well and isn’t drying at all. The shade is just so gorgeous and I’m half way through this all ready. It only gets better though, this costs just £3.99! Such a bargain.

I have been after a subtle “my lips but better” shade for a while now. My lips are quite pigmented naturally which makes finding a soft natural nude quite difficult. When I first saw MAC’s Syrup it was definitely a shade I would never have picked up before but under Ingrid’s influence I just went for it. I then paired it with Rimmel’s Exaggerate Lip Liner in the shade Eastend Snob and they match perfectly. They are both a soft dusty pink shade that’s perfect for everyday wear. This combo also goes with any outfit which for me is a huge plus.

The longevity for both of these together is just amazing, at least 4 hours. After eating and drinking I sometimes need a little touch up on the centre of my lips but for the most part, they are fine still. Neither of these products are drying and sometimes I find that I don’t even need to apply a lip balm underneath.

Last year I grew a bit tired of MAC lipsticks, I know, never thought I’d say that however this lipstick has rekindled my love for them again and I have just discovered another favourite. Watch this space…
