January Favourites 2015

The first monthly favourites post of the year, oh my how January has flown by. So much has happened already and we’ve only had 31 days of 2015 so far. I’ve been using a lot of new products recently and this favourites post could have been three times the size but I didn’t want to bore you so I whittled it down to the above 6 products.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Being a dry skinned gal I usually tend to steer clear of anything that says matte but after running out of my beloved Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Powder, I was in a pinch and couldn’t afford to replace it just yet so bought this on a whim. I have to say, I am so glad I took the random plunge as this has been a dream. I dust a tiny amount across my forehead, around my nose and on my cheeks and it stays put all day. It doesn’t appear cakey or sit in my dry patches, super impressed.

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser
I was hoping I wouldn’t like this as it’s a little pricey to replace but I love it. It’s a 3-in-1 gel cleanser that melts away makeup and dirt and leaves my skin feeling so soft and nourished. This has to be the best cleanser I’ve ever tried and it smells so nice! I will definitely be repurchasing it once I run out. I will also be writing a full review soon on all the Ole Henriksen products I have so keep a look out for that.

MAC Lipstick | Syrup
My sister PharmacyGirl and I both went mad for this lipstick after seeing Ingrid from YouTube saying it was her new favourite in a Vlogmas video. It’s the perfect pinky nude that’s great for everyday wear and like most MAC lipsticks, they aren’t drying at all. MAC has always been one of my favourite lipstick brands and my obsession for them has started to grow again. Uh-oh!

Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner | Eastend Snob
I first heard about this from Amelia Liana and went straight out to buy it after she said it was similar to Charlotte Tilbury’s Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk – still dying to try that one though! This shade is beautiful and so similar to Syrup that they are perfect together. It’s really hydrating and lasts a long time on my lips. I will be writing a post soon featuring these two products including swatches.

Revlon Colorstay Concealer
I bought this on a whim as I love trying new concealers and for the under eye I’d definitely say it’s a no no but for covering redness and blemishes it’s great. It’s just thick enough without appearing as though you’ve layered the stuff on. It covers everything just perfectly and has amazing wear time.

Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers
Has anyone ever wanted to try something so bad but they never actually bothered to buy it? I kept saying to myself “I will buy them” but I never did and so for Christmas I just asked my sister for these and boy I am glad I did. I have some stubborn lashes that never want to do as they are told but once I curl them with these, they hold all day and look pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Definitely worth the expensive price tag.

What have you been loving in January?
