December Favourites 2014

I wasn’t going to write a December favourites as I’m going to be posting my 2014 yearly favourites, however I changed my mind since I have been giving some products a lot of love recently and it’s only fair to share them right?

L’oréal La Palette Nude – When I first heard about this I wasn’t interested, it just seemed pointless as I had so many palettes already. Saying that, the more I heard about it the more I wanted it. Since purchasing this, it’s been glued to my eyelids, two shades in particular – the sixth and eighth shades in (from the left) I wear daily. I use either one all over the lid and then just blend blend blend. They are really pigmented and they blend so beautifully. The eighth shade really reminds me of MAC’s Patina and that’s my all time favourite MAC shade.

Covergirl + Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation – Ever since I received this in my beauty swap with Alexandra, I’ve used it nearly every day. The colour match is perfect for me which I’m really pleased about. Formula wise, it’s quite a thick but creamy consistency and blends into the skin really well. I’d definitely say it’s on the fuller coverage side of things which is fab for me since my blemishes seem to scar every time I have one now, even though I leave them alone. Staying power, it’s one of the best I’ve ever tried and lasts all day long. Being a foundation and serum in one, it works wonders for my dry skin and doesn’t sit or highlight any of my dry areas.

Covergirl Bombshell Volume Mascara – Covergirl is on a roll this month! Usually I can’t layer up my mascara as my lashes are super stubborn and just go clumpy with a second coat. However with this mascara, the formula is spot on so layering is easy and there aren’t any clumps in sight. My lashes stay separated and look full and hold a curl all day long.

Kat-Von D Tattoo Liner – Another product from my beauty swap, this one has been very loved. I’ve heard that this liner is great at staying put and not budging and I totally agree. Once it’s in place, it doesn’t go anywhere. The colour is super black and it’s so easy to create the cat eye flicks.

A.K.A Eyeliner* – I haven’t used this eyeliner in a while but after a clear out, I stumbled across it again and have used it so much since. It’s such a perfect soft brown shade and looks great paired with the L’oréal La Palette Nude eyeshadows to create a soft smoky look. It lasts well in the waterline too.
