October Favourites 2014

I saw a tweet today that it’s only about 7 weeks until Christmas?! It’s crazy just how quickly this year is going. Well as always, another month has passed which means another monthly favourites…

LUSH Brightside Bubble Bar – This is my second one of these and I personally think that it’s one of the best scented products that they sell. It’s so fresh and citrusy and the scent is so up-lifting. It creates loads of bubbles and turns the water a lovely sunny orange shade. The scent is just incredible, if you haven’t already, you definitely need to give this a sniff. Another perk is that it’s a huge size so I can get at least 5 baths from this one product.

Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser – My first ever Bioré product, it certainly hasn’t disappointed me. I was immediately attracted to the charcoal ingredient and it was all over YouTube when I picked it up. Charcoal products are great for drawing out impurities and dirt leaving the skin clean and fresh. When I apply it, it tingles on the skin slightly – it’s advertised to do that, and it feels great! Since using this, my skin has cleared up dramatically, the tiny blackheads I used to have are a lot less frequent now!

The Body Shop Solid Oil Lips – When I first tried this, I actually was really disappointed and didn’t like it. However, I stuck with it and now I love it. I’ve been using it a lot in the past 2 weeks and it feels great on the lips. It smells great and it’s so moisturising. It doesn’t feel greasy or sticky, just hydrating.

Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour – Nude Rose | full review – This colour is just beautiful, I can’t get over just how simple yet stunning it is. When I change my nail colour, I always use a different shade, but I re-applied this three times in a row. A soft pinky nude, it’s perfect for a hint of colour, nothing too over the top and it’s a nice change from the usual dark greens or navy that are always about this time of year.

Soap & Glory Archery – Hot Chocolate – I’ve had a lot of brow products recently and all of them have been great but since I first tried this, it went straight to the top of my list! It creates such soft natural brows and I love how it comes with a spooly brush attached, so handy. The colour matches my brows perfectly and it’s so easy to create natural brows with small feathery strokes.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder & Highlighter Duo – I bought this on a whim, I’d heard that it was supposed to be a great product and wanted to test it out. Since then, I have used it every single day. The bronzer isn’t too orange or ashy toned, it’s perfect for my light skin-tone and blends in beautifully. The highlighter is great as well as it’s not too shimmery, it gives just the right amount of glow on the cheekbones and cupids bow.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush – Diffused Heat | full review – Since the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette came onto the market, I decided to use Diffused Heat a lot more. I love how soft they are to apply. The formula, shade, packaging, everything is so great with this product. And yes, I did pre-order the palette, it came the other day and it’s amazing…who else went a little weak in the knees when they saw it?!
