September Favourites 2014

Another month gone, can you believe Christmas is in just under 12 weeks away? It’s crazy. I had a bit of a crazy month in September. I got a part-time job in a local card/coffee shop. It’s about 5 minutes walk from my house and I’m really enjoying it so far. I love that the hours are enough for a bit of pocket money but I still get time to blog, it’s perfect. September was also the month Brent and I went to Morocco. We’ve been back for only two weeks but it already feels as though it was about two months ago. Revlon PhotoReady foundation I have a “First Impressions” post coming very soon, but I just have to say, this is one of the best high-street foundations I have used in a long long time. It provides medium coverage with a soft dewy finish that isn’t too overwhelming. Long-lasting staying power and still looks like natural skin….sounds incredible doesn’t it?

Maybelline SuperStay Gel PolishForevermore Green I’m pretty sure every monthly favourites post now features one of these polishes, they are just brilliant. This shade is a beautiful greeny turquoise which lasted my entire holiday. It didn’t chip at all! I added an extra coat a couple of days before the end of the holiday to add some shine back onto my nails (the chlorine dulled the colour a bit) but there wasn’t a single chip on the polish, so impressed!

Make-Up Revolution Baked Eyeshadows Pure & InnocentFirst Impressions – In my first impressions post, I mentioned how this palette wasn’t that pigmented and that I wasn’t too impressed by it…well that has certainly changed. I used this non-stop last month and every day on holiday. The colours were beautiful together, they looked so pretty. I now love the light shades for a soft highlight and the darker shades are fab for a subtle smokey eye. And I was wrong, they are very pigmented!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet – Olé Flamingo! I’ve had this since they first came out but I just never used it. When I met up with Jess from Jessica Charlotte, she was wearing it and said I needed it! I already had it so I decided to dig it out for holiday. I used it every night and it was a beaut! The fuchsia pink is very bright and bold and it didn’t rub off or transfer at all. Evening after eating and drinking, it had stayed put. This meant going out and buying another shade, of course, so keep a look out for a full review and swatches soon!

MAC Pearlglide Intense Eyeliner Black Line I haven’t used anything by MAC in such a long time. At one point, I was completely obsessed and couldn’t get enough, now I barely even look on the website. However, saying that, I always loved this eyeliner and have been wearing it so much recently. Although it’s called Black Line, it’s actually black with noticeable gold shimmer and it’s so pretty smudged out on the top lash line. It also has great staying power, considering how creamy it is!
