Milani Baked Powder Blusher | Berry Amore & Dolce Pink

I’ve been meaning to write this post for a while, I’m not sure why it has taken me so long but here you are! I think everyone and their cat has heard about the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso and after scouring the internet, I found a UK online store that stocks Milani. Can I get a “whoop whoop?!”

At the time, Luminoso was out of stock so I picked up Berry Amore – a gorgeous nude/coral that swatches as a beautiful true coral shade and Dolce Pink – a vibrant pink with a gold shimmer. I bought them from the store Comedic for £5.99 which I think is a pretty good price, cheaper than a plane ticket to the US! They sell quite a lot of the Milani range and it’s great to know I can get my hands on it here if I really want it.

3PIN IT! 4PIN IT! 5PIN IT!

Both of these shades are really pigmented, one dab on the brush is all you need. They blend really well and don’t leave any harsh stripes on the cheeks. The formula isn’t powdery in either the palette or on the skin. The wear time on me is all day long, it’s incredible! Neither do they sit in any dry patches.

I find the packaging rather bulky, although I do like the gold and the shape, they come with a flip compartment that houses a brush and a mirror and personally, I never use these so it just takes up space. If they took the compartment out, they could have a smaller compact which I would prefer.

Berry Amore looks a tad mauve in the pan and has a darker bronze and gold interlaced throughout. When it was brand new, there was an overspray of gold on the top however I hastily swatched it before I took a picture. There are noticeable gold shimmers in the pan but once on the skin, they are hardly seen and just create a lovely sheen on the cheeks. I was surprised when it swatched to a coral shade but I really love the shade it creates, it’s great for my pale skin tone.

Dolce Pink is a true pink in the pan, a typical girly pink. It doesn’t look as though there’s any gold in this shade but once swatched there is some shimmer and the shade reminds me of NARS Orgasm. It’s very pretty and although in the swatch the gold looks quite chunky, it blends out beautifully on the skin and are hardly noticeable on the cheeks.

Overall I am really impressed with these blushers, considering they are classed as drug store, they are worth every penny and get the job done. I can’t help but feel like they are a cheaper alternative to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushers they just seem so similar but for a fraction of the price. That won’t stop me from getting both though….

Have you tried any Milani Baked Blushers?
