All summer I have tried to be healthy and workout as much as I can. One way that I find always gets me motivated is looking at new workout gear and buying some pretty bits to wear whilst I get hot and sweaty. I’m obsessed with pinning amazing workout gear on Pinterest, my board has become a little out of hand now! I also find motivation from Instagram pages, I follow a few different women over the world with inspirational figures and it really gets me moving.
I thought I would share some of the new workout gear that I’ve been sporting – get it get it?! I’ve found that the best place to buy nice sportswear is from either Next or Sports Direct. Next has a huge variety of different brands whilst Sports Direct have items from previous seasons at a discounted rate.
Pineapple Dancewear – This brand has been a favourite since I was 14 and at dancing, I always wanted my clothes to be from Pineapple. I love the Wide Band Leggings* as they fit perfectly to the body without being uncomfortable and also, the wide band is high waisted so it keeps everything in place. The Wide Band Crop Leggings are exactly the same as above but cropped, so soft and comfortable. Neither of them make me feel hot whilst I’m working out which is great. Some Pineapple Dancewear products are also available from Next.
Nike – Nike are essential for working out…well not really but they have the cutest items that are too hard to resist! I can’t stop looking at all the pretty colours they have for sale. I picked up the Nike Black Pro 3″ Tiger Shorts from Next. I love the 3″ ones, they have so many different colours and prints. Even though they are quite short, they don’t ride up whilst I workout and they are so soft and comfortable to wear and move around in. Sports Direct also sell these types of shorts but plain colours.
Nike Runners – When I first started working out, I was wearing my hiking trainers which were heavy and clumpy. I decided to invest in a pair of Nike runners for two reasons: because they are so pretty and because I didn’t want to have shin splints. I bought the Nike White/Pink Air Max Tailwind trainers from Next but you can actually get them for £10 cheaper on Nike.com with free shipping. The colours are just so beautiful, the prettiest trainers I’ve ever seen. I’ve worn them about 5 times already and they don’t rub at all, they are really comfortable and running is so much easier now, such a great investment.
Vale Apparel – This is the brand that my brother and I have been working on. We are aiming to release an extreme sportswear brand when we can. The t-shirt I’m wearing in the picture is a prototype of one of our designs. I love the simplicity of the top and the colour is nice and vibrant. I will let you all know more once we release our first collection, but the products will be green and organic ranging from surfing and hiking to yoga and dance.
Gilly Hicks – Although the top I’m wearing below isn’t available any more, Gilly Hicks do some great sportswear that are super comfortable to wear and move about in. Their prices are fab and they almost always have deals on or a sale, as long as you don’t mind paying $10 shipping.
Sports bras are the same as I had in my Yoga Outfits post, I haven’t picked any new ones up recently as my size is always out of stock. Now that it’s coming into winter as well, I need to start finding more leggings and long sleeved items to keep me warm.
What’s your favourite workout brand?
