After receiving some Make Up Revolution products and writing my first initial thoughts in a first impressions post here, it’s still safe to say that I am well and truly hooked on the brand. Being so affordable but still bringing the quality of a more expensive brand, it’s hard to not get addicted.
I am so in love with the Salvation Girls on Film palette* the pigmentation is just stunning and I have been using it nearly every day since I got it. During the summer months, I’ve loved being able to fake a tan on my pale face and this was achieved by two products.
The Ultra Bronze Shimmer Highlight* bronze is huge, seriously it’s bigger than my palm. This product is a bronzer and highlighter in one. I personally love the size and packaging as it makes it really easy to store and you get a whopping 15g of product for the £4.00 price tag, amazing.
I did find that this product wasn’t as pigmented as the bronzer I will be talking about next but it just gives a softer natural look. In the winter when I’m really pale, this will be perfect as it’s not orange toned at all and blends in really nicely to leave a subtle glow to the face. It’s actually not too shimmery and the highlight just gives a very soft sheen to the cheekbones. You can use each shade separately but I much prefer to swirl all the shades together.
The product I was most excited about was by far the Vivid Baked Bronzer in the shade Golden Days*. It’s a beautiful baked bronzer with a slightly darker shade that threads throughout the bronzer. The packaging is nice again, easy to store and nice and compact. This one contains 13g of product for the same price of £4.00 which is brilliant.
I love the subtleness of this shade and it can easily be built up for a more dramatic look. It easily blends into the skin without appearing like a questionable dark brown streak on your face. The shimmer is very subtle and it gives my skin such a lovely healthy glow, no orange ompa-lompa here!
PIN IT!First 3 swatches are Bronze Shimmer Highlight, final swatch is Vivid Baked Bronzer.
The quality of these bronzer are great and the size of them means they are going to last a long time. Both bronzers stayed well on my skin with the baked bronzer lasting all day. I think that both these bronzers will definitely suit paler skin types without looking orange or ashy, they are just the right shade for a nice healthy glow.
I’m yet to find a Make Up Revolution product that disappoints, everything is so great so far. I’m seriously addicted to their site, I can’t stop looking! There’s so much choice and everything looks so great. I also love how they listen to their customers, we say we want a contour palette, we got one! It’s brilliant and definitely the right way to make a business grow, I certainly can’t wait to make a huge order in the future.
