Perricone MD – No Foundation Foundaion | Review & Swatches

1

I’ve written about Perricone MD products before and thoroughly enjoyed a couple of items I have tried so far, especially the Intensive Pore Minimizer. I’ve been testing out the No Foundation Foundation* for a while now and at first was a little baffled with the concept. A translucent coverage that evens out skin tone and boosts hydration throughout the day, I had no idea how this could possibly work! That’s not all though, it contains SPF 30 – finally, an SPF higher than 10 – and also doesn’t contain any nasty parabens, sounds good yes?

Packaging is always fancy with this brand and comes in lovely frosted brown glass with cream labels. I said it before but it really reminds me of old Victorian style packaging, so cute! It comes with a pump and also with a pump stopper so that no nasty business happens when you’re travelling etcetera.

When I first applied it, I was all “Oh my goodness I’m ORANGE” but left it on anyway. About 2 hours later I thought, “Wow this looks good!” It’s described as a translucent coverage but I’m convinced that it colour corrects to the skin after a little time out in the open. I went from an orange umpa-lumpa, to smooth glowing coverage that matched my skin tone exactly. Such a natural finish, it really is perfect for the “no make-up” make-up look.

It doesn’t provide the best coverage but it is supposed to be just a light layer. I use it all over the skin and just apply concealer wherever it’s needed, apply a little powder to set it and I’m good to go. Before powdering, it leaves a gorgeous dewy finish that blends into the skin really well. Don’t fear though oily skin types, this bad boy is good for all skin types! It didn’t sit in any of my dry patches and lasted very well throughout the day. I wore it on some of the hottest days we had this summer and it didn’t slip of my face or appear patchy in places.

Downside? It has a funky plant smell to it but it’s not noticeable once it’s applied. It’s also £48.00 for 30ml of product *insert wide-eyed emoji* I know, super pricey for a foundation but it does do a great job at leaving a clear, even natural base for a long duration of time. If you fancy giving this a whirl, you can find it here and also here.

Would you buy this foundation? Have you tried it before?

I haven't heard much about this brand but I do like the simplistic packaging of this and it will definitely stand out from the rest of my stash. I like makeup which is very lightweight and gives a natural dewy finish but although this sounds like a great product, I am a bit skeptical about the colouring and maybe making me look a tad orange therefore i may give it a miss and stick to my good old Laura mercier tinted moisturiser 🙂

Thanks for posting, it was an interesting read.
    Have a wonderful day ♥

They do have a fair version available. I thought I would be orange too, but that wasn't the case 🙂 xx

A very cool concept but I am always skeptical of foundation that claims to "adjust to your skin tone", although this seems like it really works haha 😀

It doesn't claim to adjust to the skin tone, I just found that it did for me 🙂 xx

I think this would be way too orange on me! I don't think I could justify the price for such a light coverage, but the concept sounds lovely xx
