Make-Up Revolution | First Impressions

I think everyone and their cat knows about the new make-up brand Make-Up Revolution and if not, where have you been? A very affordable brand that can be purchased from Superdrug or from their online store, it's a brand that just has to be tried and tested...and reviewed. When I was asked if I would like to try some bits from their new line, I immediately said yes. I had been swooning over products on their website ever since I had read one of the first reviews about them. I will be writing full reviews on some of the products, but for now, here are my first impressions.

Salvation palette - Girls On Film* - £6.00 | link - From the very first swatch I was in love with this. I'm a bit of a palette snob and only stick to my Urban Decay Naked palettes but this has been on my eyes since I received it. It has a total of 18 eyeshadows, 12 shimmers and 6 mattes and it's gorgeous. Super pigmented and so easy to blend, this palette is definitely a must have. I love that there's a great mixture of light and darker shades in bronzes, champagne, grey, purple and brown colours, there's something for everyone here.

Baked eyeshadows - Pure and Innocent* - £2.50 | link - I haven't used this palette as much, I've found that the shades here aren't as pigmented as the Salvation palette which is a shame. I love baked products such as blush and bronzers but I just don't think these eyeshadows work as well. The two darker shades are lovely but the lighter colours are hardly noticeable.

Ultra Blush & Contour palette - Sugar and Spice* - £6.00 | link -  I was rather excited about this palette as the merged blusher and highlighter look amazing. These shades are extremely pigmented. One tiny tap of the brush is enough for application but I do find that sometimes they are a bit difficult to blend. I've only used a couple of shades from here so far, the highlighter, the shade third in from the left on the top row and third in from the left on the bottom row. All three have been very nice to wear.

Vivid Baked Bronzer - Golden Days* - £4.00 | link - This is the product that I had been lusting after for a while. I've discovered a new obsession with baked bronzers and couldn't wait to try this. The colour pay-off is beautiful and doesn't make my pale skin look orange. Just adds a hit of colour to the skin and is really easily blended.

Bronzer Shimmer Highlight* - £4.00 | link - When I first swatched this, wasn't that blown away. The pigmentation seemed poor and I just wan't that impressed. However, I have used this a couple of times on my skin now and I've changed my mind. It gives a really lovely subtle glow to the face and doesn't make my skin orange either. It's easily blended and the 3 shades can be used separately or together.

More in depth reviews will be coming your way soon, I just want to test everything out a little bit more and also want to supply good accurate swatches too. I am impressed by what I have used so far as the only item that let me down was the baked eyeshadows but lets see if my mind can be changed in time!

Have you tried anything from Make-Up Revolution? What are your thoughts?
