This recipe I actually got off the Tone it Up website. If you don’t know Tone it Up, it’s a website run by two girls who also do fitness videos on YouTube and they are both brilliant. I’ve recently become obsessed with their YouTube videos and signed up to their TIU Community. It’s a great way to stay connected and motivated throughout your workout routines.
Week 3 | The Creamsicle Smoothie
PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT! PIN IT!I loved the sound of this smoothie but I did tweak it slightly as a couple of products I couldn’t find. You can buy protein powder samples for £1.49 from My Protein if you want to test it out first. It comes in lots of different flavours but I feel vanilla would work best for this smoothie. Protein is great for building and maintaining a lean physique. Its often believed that lifting weights and drinking protein for us girls will make us bulky – hulk anyone? But actually when you carry more muscle your body burns more fat. This gives us that toned body that we are looking for.
Some may think orange juice is bad for you, yes a bottle a day is not good, however, in small doses it’s extremely good for you. It’s packed with vitamin C for a healthy immune system and it’s great for the skin too. It also has potassium and magnesium as well as being low in fat. I know the sugar content is high but as long as you get enough fibre in your diet as well, it will all balance out. Fresh orange juice is even better for you still since it contains natural sugars only.
