Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Colour | Uptown Blue

I’ve recently been in a bit of a nail polish funk, I’ve grown tired of the shades in my collection and have been hunting for some new colours that tickle my fancy. Whilst watching one of Amelia Liana’s YouTube videos, she mentioned the nail polish she was wearing at the time and I instantly fell in love.

2PIN IT! 3PIN IT! 4PIN IT!

The polish in question was the Maybelline SuperStay 7 Day Gel Nail Polish in the stunning shade Uptown Blue. A bright, vibrant sky blue shade, it’s beautiful and very fitting for summer. I went straight out to buy it as I knew I would love the colour and I wasn’t wrong. It’s not just the colour that impressed me though, it takes just 2 coats to get amazing bold coverage and the wear time is incredible. It boasts to be a long wear 7-day gel nail colour and after testing this for exactly one week, I can confirm that it does indeed stay put. The end of 7 days, I have minimal chipping and only to the very tips which are hardly noticeable. The colour has stayed bright and vibrant the whole time and are still really shiny. Applying the nail polish was so easy as the brush is a different shape to the usual, it’s a flatter style that makes applying polish with minimal mess extremely easy. I love how this is just like a gel polish, you know the way a gel shade grows out on the nails? This has done that to mine, that just shows how well this has stayed put. Better than the time I actually had gel polish done professionally in fact. One last thing to note is the drying time, this polish dries in about a minute, it’s amazing. I’ve never have a polish that dries so quickly, ever! Say goodbye to smudged nails with this one, it dries so quickly that the risk of smudging is very small and actually didn’t happen for me and that’s a first.

I am over the moon with this polish and will go as far as saying it’s the favourite in my stash now, it has well and truly knocked Barry M jelly nails off it’s top spot – Sorry B! I’ve never used a Maybelline nail polish before and I really have been converted to this range. There’s some other shades in the line, an orange, fuchsia pink and a baby pink and I now want all three too! Greedy! I’m so impressed with everything about this polish, the shade, formula, and longevity, all for £4.49, definitely one to add to the wish list!

Have you tried any polishes from this line? What are your thoughts on them?
