May Favourites 2014

May has not been a good month at all, although it was my birthday month, I wasn’t in the mood to celebrate and if you read my blog regularly you will know why and I’m glad the month is finally over. Moving on from the awful month, I bring my May beauty favourites.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – review – This has been my go to product to take my make-up off throughout May. All the late nights I had, I was too lazy to remove my make-up with a ridiculously long routine, this did the job perfectly. It melts make-up off so quickly and doesn’t dry the skin out or leave it feeling tight. I hadn’t used that much before but I’m now over half way through the bottle.

YSL Cinéma Perfume – After what happened last month, I wanted to keep my Grandma close to me and went straight out to buy her perfume that she loved. I had bought it for her randomly one year for Christmas and she loved it so ended up buying it for her another 2 years running after that. I love this scent, some think it’s more of an evening scent but I love it in the day time too. With a blend of peony, musk, vanilla, almond blossom, amber and more, it’s a unique scent that smells very sophisticated and glamorous.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara – review – I recently mentioned this in my new series, Products Worth Mentioning and had to include it in here too as I’ve been so impressed by it. It holds the curl in my lashes really well, doesn’t appear clumpy or flaky and it’s most definitely waterproof, this stuff doesn’t budge, it’s brilliant.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush – I will be writing a post featuring all my favourite face brushes very soon but this brush is perfect for blending concealer under the eyes. It leaves my under eye circles looking very flawless indeed.

Zoeva 102 Silk Finish Brush Like above this will be included in the face brush post but I quickly wanted to mention it here. Never ever have I used such an amazing brush. This blends liquid foundation into the skin seamlessly and I’m left with flawless looking skin, amazing. I will eventually be reviewing the brush set I received for my birthday however I am still testing out a couple of brushes.

Milani Baked Blush01 Dolce Pink I’ve heard alot about these blushers on YouTube over the 5 years that I’ve been watching videos, maybe longer, how long have Blair and Elle been around for? Anyway, amazing product that gives such beautiful pink flushed cheeks. I’ve been using it so much recently and have now become obsessed with baked products. I will be reviewing them fully soon as I have another shade too but really want to get my hands on all the colours, apart from a little bit of powder kick-up in the pan, these are perfect subtle blushers.

Which products have you been loving recently?
