The Pretty Shelf & Perfume Collection

A couple of weeks ago I redecorated my bedroom as I previously had a dark purple feature wall that made the room quite dark. I decided to just paint all the walls a cream colour and along the way picked up some décor pieces that I will take with me when Brent and I eventually move into our own place. This shelf is probably my favourite place in my room now and thought that since I love home décor posts, I might as well do a post of my own. Since this shelf also holds my perfume collection, I decided to merge the two posts together and I hope you enjoy it.

The shelf itself is from Argos and it’s the basic floating shelf, it was originally the beach effect however I painted it white when I started to buy white furniture. On the left-hand side I have a stack of magazines that are my “to read” pile and every month I read them, recycle them and then I replace them. On-top of them is the square glass vase that I bought from George Asda and was super cheap. Inside I placed some crystal effect stones to hold the faux flowers up, these were both from a local gardening centre. I then have a purple candle holder with some purple beads that I stole borrowed from my sister and have a single tea light inside.

The tray that holds my perfume is just beautiful. It’s from Next and it’s shabby chic effect with a mirrored base inside and the perfumes looks so pretty reflecting off it. On the outside of the tray I have two DKNY Be Delicious fragrances: Be Delicious (original) and Fresh Blossom. For my birthday I received a Jo Malone perfume and the box is far too pretty to throw away so I just popped it at the back to display. At the back of the tray I have two Victoria Secrets body mists in Secret Charm and Aqua Kiss. I tend to use these more in the summer time or when I have just stepped out of the shower.

Moving on to the products on the actual tray, at the back there’s Lacoste Touch of Pink in the centre with Juicy Couture Couture Couture to the left and Juicy Couture Couture La La to the right. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck and Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted are on either side of Juicy Couture. I also have Japanese Cherry Blossom by The Body ShopYSL Cinéma and Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede.

Finally, the fragrances at the front from left to right are: Elie Saab Eau De Parfum IntenseGuess Girl by Guess, Victoria Beckham Intimately YoursTaylor by Taylor SwiftElie Saab Eau De Parfum and finally a tiny sample bottle of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb.

Recently Debenhams have had lots of little samples lying around their shelves and I decided to grab a few and have stored these just dotted about. I love the smell of Estée Lauder Modern Muse and also Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh, I bought it for my Grandma one year and she loved it.

That’s my little shelf and perfume collection, I am trying to use up some of the fragrances now so I can justify buying new ones but they take so long to finish. I really can’t decide on my favourites at the moment, it changes all the time with my mood however the one scent that I 100% adore and never get bored of is Juicy Couture’s Couture Couture, it’s just so unique. I’m very pleased with this set up and can’t wait to expand my ever growing perfume collection more.

Which scent is your favourite?
