I know what you’re thinking, “Not another cleansing water review?” Well I couldn’t agree more however I just wanted to get my thoughts out there and will try and keep this short and sweet for you. It’s no secret that I am 100% obsessed with micellar waters, I used to be quite lazy with my skincare but know have an actual set routine and I like using these cleansing waters as a quick refresh in the mornings and also to get the last dregs of any make-up sitting on my skin.
PIN IT!The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water promises to remove make-up, cleanse the skin and soothe it, even sensitive skin. It’s also stating that it can be used on the eyes, lips and face however it doesn’t state anywhere that it removes waterproof mascara. Luckily I don’t wear waterproof any more, too much of a pain in the ass. If you’ve read my blog for a while, you will know that I have tried the L’oreal 3-in-1 micellar water, the B.Pure Micellar Water and also, my favourite so far; Bioderma. I look for a cleansing water that doesn’t strip the skin, keeps it feeling hydrated and most importantly, removes eye make-up. So far for me, only Bioderma removes all kinds of make-up off my skin without tugging and pulling and therefore has earnt it’s well deserved top spot.
I can happily say that the Garnier water is so close to knocking my beloved Bioderma off said top spot. It removes make-up effortlessly without a struggle, my skin doesn’t feel tight, stripped or irritated afterwards and the best thing for me, it removes eye make-up. I don’t wear heavy eye make-up everyday and when I do I use a specific eye make-up remover, but this definitely removes light eye make-up and mascara without leaving anything behind. I don’t have to rub my eyes like crazy to get the mascara off, it just glides off with every wipe that I do.
For £4.99 in most supermarkets, or drug-stores, this micellar water is a complete bargain as you get a whopping 400ml of product. If I didn’t already have two bottles of Bioderma waiting in the wings I would repurchase this in a heart beat!
