April Favourites 2014

Another month has passed and I’m 99% sure I start every monthly favourites with the same sentence. A favourite of the month was definitely booking the holiday with Brent to Morocco in September, it’s a long way to wait but it will definitely be worth it. Are you going on holiday this year? I’m so excited to do a little more holiday shopping and it will be here before we know it and for now, here’s what else I have been enjoying for the month of April.

Herbal Essence Bee Strong shampoo – When I first used this, I didn’t like it and I realized that I was actually using too much. Since I started using it less I have fallen in love with it. I have about 3 shampoo’s in my shower at the moment that I like to rotate however I always find myself leaning towards this one more. The formula is supposed to help the damage your hair might have and I found that it it cleans my hair really well and makes it so soft and smooth without weighing it down. The best part though is the scent, oh my goodness the combination of honey and apricot is just so nice, really refreshing and leaves a fine scent in the hair.

YSL Touché Eclat foundation – I will be reviewing this soon but I have so many things I need to review it might not be for a little while, therefore I don’t want to give too much away. With that being said, it is a great buildable medium coverage foundation that leaves a lovely dewy finish on the skin. Dry skinned girls like myself will love it. I’ve read that some people think it doesn’t provide enough coverage however for me, it’s just right. I’ve used this so much since I bought it and I just love the finish and how long it lasts.

Clinique Redness Solutions Primer Another product that I will be reviewing fully soon but to be quick, it’s a great primer for underneath make-up as it really does make the skin appear less red. It tones the redness on my cheeks and nose down a lot and I haven’t had one problem with my make-up over the top, it sits really well on the skin. I just love it and have used it every single day since I got it.

China Glaze – Shell-Ofull review & swatches – This has to be one of the brightest nail polishes I have ever seen and used. Just take a look at the swatches in my review, it’s just amazing. A bright neon coral with a pink undertone, it’s perfect for summertime and I will be putting this on my toes for holiday. The downside is that it takes a lot of effort to apply, I’ve described why in the post but I don’t mind too much as the outcome is so fab.

Nivea Vanilla & Macadamia lip butterfull review –  Did I really need another lip balm? No I didn’t. Did I buy another one because of the scent? Yes I did. I have two other scents from the Nivea lip butter line which you can read about if you click the link however when I saw this one in Boots I had to try it, and I am so glad I did! The rich vanilla and macadamia scent is just lovely and the buttery formula leaves my lips feeling super soft and smooth. It doesn’t leave any strange residue, it just melts into the lips. It is by far one of my favourite lip butters now.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting BlusherDiffused Heat I will most definitely be reviewing this beauty for you all. Some bloggers have found it a bit hit and miss and for the price I was highly expecting it to deliver some amazing results. I personally think they are worth every pencil. From the stunning packaging to the super soft powder, this blusher really delivers. I love the soft coral shade Diffused Heat creates on my cheeks and I love how, in a certain light I have beautifully highlighted cheekbones. A highlighter and blusher in one? Perfect.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstickSecretfull review & swatches – My first Chanel lipstick *sighs* so pretty. It’s just such a pretty nude shade, a “my lips but better shade” with a slight glossy finish. The formula is soft and buttery and glides across the lips seamlessly. I’ve been wearing it a lot for a natural looking lip, it’s great for every day wear.

Burt’s Bee’s Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream I first heard about this on a YouTube video by CutePolish and went straight online to buy it. It’s a lemon scented cuticle cream that you apply to your cuticle to soften them in order to push them back, remove them or just to generally make them appear neater. I use it morning and evening and it definitely has helped them appear less ragged and they look a lot neater now. My fingers were a little dry and cracked at one point and I tried a bit of this on the areas to see if it worked, it did. The dryness disappeared after a couple of uses. The scent as well is heavenly, smells like you have just squeezed some fresh lemons, it’s so refreshing!

This has become a rather lengthy post so I shall love you and leave you!
