Spring Lips 2014

To me Springtime screams corals and pink shades on the lips and pastels on the nails. Spring and Summer are great seasons to get the bright bold lips out or the soft neutral ones if you wish, so here I’ve combined the two to give you my top 5 Spring lips.I change my mind everyday as to which colour I want to wear, sometimes I’m in the mood for nude, sometime’s I’m not and it’s these shades that I feel really suit the Spring time.

2PIN IT! 3PIN IT!Left – right – YSL Rouge Volutpé – Corail Jalouse | Maybelline Colorsensational – Shocking Coral | L’oreal Colour Riche Liquid Lipstick – Rose Melody | Revlon ColourStay Matte Balm – Elusive | Bourjois Colour Boost Glossy Finish Lipsticks – Orange Punch.

If I’m in one of my nude moods, I love the new Revlon ColorStay Matte Balm in the shade Elusive, it’s such a pretty pinky nude shade and although it’s a matte finish, it doesn’t dry the lips out at all. For a glossier nude finish, I’ve been loving the L’oreal Colour Riche Liquid Lipstick in Rose Melody, being a liquid lipstick it makes it really easy to apply and they are very long lasting. This shade is a lovely nude colour and can easily been worn all day long and for any occasion. A lovely subtle coral shade that I adore comes in the form of the YSL Rouge Volupté lipstick in the shade Corail Jalouse from their Spring 2014 collection (full review here.) This shade is just beautiful, a lovely coral shade that can be built up for a more intense look, or dabbed onto the lips for a flush of colour, it’s just perfect for this time of year.

More colourful options are any of the Bourjois Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipsticks (full review here) however I always find myself reaching for Orange Punch as it’s quite different and although it’s a glossy lipstick, it’s really quite pigmented and looks great for S/S, it also keeps the lips hydrated and moisturised at the same time, bonus! Finally, my last choice for a pop of colour for the sunnier months is the following, a lipstick I haven’t been brave enough to wear yet but feel it’s time to whip it out this year and it’s the Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in the shade Shocking Coral. To me I don’t think it’s a coral at all but a bright neon pink. Yep, Neon! The picture doesn’t really do it justice but it’s definitely a bright one and it’s lovely. I just need to buck up the courage and wear it as it really is a stunning shade.

Which shades will you be wearing on your lips this year? Any favourites from above?
