Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick – Turn On

I’ve had four of the Urban Decay Revolutions lipsticks since Christmas and it’s taken me a while to trial them, test them and write a review for you. The packaging of these lipsticks are just beautiful. Encased in a shiny gunmetal grey tube and “Urban Decay” engraved down the side and “UD” on the lid, they really look the part. I love how they are a bit weighty but not too much. It’s frustrating when something looks amazing and weighty and then it’s just shiny plastic but these are a beauty.

How does the formula actually feel I hear you ask? Well, to me hands down one of the best formulas I’ve tried so far. They glide across the lips effortlessly, even if my lips are a little dry, these lipsticks do not drag or pull the lips and the formula doesn’t stick to any dry patches either. They have a slight glossy finish to them which just makes them sit better on the lips and keeps them moisturised and hydrated throughout the day. Wear time is about 4 hours for me without any food or drink however if I do eat or drink, the colour wears off to more of a stain which I personally love as it’s less noticeable. The colour does transfer a little bit however it’s not a lot and it doesn’t ruin the lips either, if that makes sense. It doesn’t cause the lipstick to feather at all or smudge, it does stay put pretty well. Although darker colours like these are harder to re-apply as you have to be more careful at getting it perfect, I don’t mind whipping out the cute packaging and re-applying.

I really don’t have anything bad to say about these, I have four out of the 20 shades available at Debenhams and I know that I will be trying more in the future. I think I prefer these to MAC lipsticks….say what!? I know right, bold statement! They retail at £15.00 each which is pricey for a lipstick, similar to MAC however with the amazing formula it has, I am happy to pay for it.

Have you tried any of the Urban Decay lipsticks? Which shade is your favourite?
