With the mixture of offers, deals and the odd blogger influence, I realised recently that I had accumulated a few new products over the past month and decided to share them with you, I will be reviewing some of these products separately and I’m sure you will see some bits pop up here and there anyway, but here’s the round-up…
I have an obscene amount of conditioner in my bathroom, including a litre bottle of Joico K-Pak that I spotted in TK MAXX so it’s safe to say I’m all set for conditioner, shampoo on the other hand I was running low on. Spotting a 2 for £4 deal in Asda I decided to give two new products a try. I’ve used a sample sachet of the Herbal Essences Bee Strong shampoo before and really liked it, it smells divine, however after a couple of uses with this bottle, I’ve noticed my second day hair to feel very weighed down, not sure if it’s this though as I have changed my haircare routine a lot recently, but I will keep my eyes peeled. In the Asda deal, I also bought the Dove Nutritive Solutions shampoo which I think may be new and this one also smells so yummy, this is in my “overflow” box and I’m excited to see if it gives soft smooth hair. The final haircare product I bought was the L’oreal Elnett Satin Heat Styling Spray in Volume. I first heard about this product from Kayley Melissa (amazing channel!) as she filmed a full and perfect review on the straight version, there’s three different versions, volume, straight and curls and decided that since my mop needed some more ompf this would be the way to go. I’ve used it a few times now and it does indeed create some serious volume, but full review will be coming soon.
For skincare I have been trying out the Dr Perricone Intensive Pore Minimizer* and so far I am very impressed, however more on that later. My daily moisturiser is running low and decided to give the L’oreal Triple Active Nourish a try as it sounds lovely for dry skin…and yes it was on offer. I have previously mentioned the Avene Face Scrub a fair bit, I bought one with some Christmas vouchers and actually won the same scrub on the Avene Facebook page which was great! I’ve been using this in the shower and it leaves my skin so soft! I managed to nab a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish in a blog sale as I’ve always wanted to try it, however first impressions aren’t good so far as I haven’t been left wowed by it at all, I know, shocker!
Finally the last item, Pearl Drops Beauty Sleep whitening treatment was totally a “beauty blogger made me buy it” moment, after reading Gemma’s review over on Miss Make-up Magpie I knew I just had to give it a go. So far I’ve only used it twice as I keep forgetting to use it after brushing my teeth, silly me! I’ve got some seriously high hopes that it will transform my teeth into pretty pearly whites.
Have you used any of these products? What have you been trying recently?
