January Favourites 2014

Many of you probably started your January favourites posts with this exact line, “Where the heck did that month go?” As of today we are in February already and this year is flying by and so it’s time for my first monthly favourites post of 2014…

Guess Girl perfume – My lovely Grandparents bought me this perfume for Christmas and it smells amazing! It’s very sweet and girly and I think it will be perfect for summertime. It doesn’t last very long on my skin so I have used up a fair bit already but I love getting the cute bottle out to douse myself in it again. With top notes of raspberry and melon, it’s no wonder I love it, I’m all for a fruity scent.

Born Pretty Store make-up brushes* | full review – I have written a full review on these babies and I have to say they are so nice and soft to use! My favourites from the 10pcs brush set are the blusher and powder brushes, the powder applies just the right amount onto my skin without being cakey and the blusher brush blends blush in perfectly. These two brushes are ones I always reach for now, and they are such a bargain!

Urban Decay Naked 3 palette | full review & swatches – I think it’s a bit obvious this would be included in this months favourites post, it’s one amazing palette. I know not everyone has been wowed by it or given into the hype but I absolutely love it! I love the gorgeous rose-toned shades and like all Urban Decay products, the shadows blend beautifully together. My most reached for shades of January were: LiarMugshot and Darkside.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation – I will be writing my full review of this next week and don’t want to give too much away but I must say, a great coverage foundation with gorgeous luminous glow? Coming right up!

Rimmel Match Perfection concealer | full review & swatches – This is such an amazing concealer, it gives such a beautiful luminous glow on the skin all whilst concealing the dark circles under my eyes. It brightens everything just the way I want it too, I have to say this is my all time favourite concealer now and I will be raving about it for months to come.

Rimmel Match Perfection blusher – Light* I have only been able to find this blusher on the Fragrance Direct  website and I knew I would love it straight away. There’s three shades in this blush that can be used separately or swirled together. I prefer to blend all the colours together as it creates a gorgeous soft pinky peach colour to the skin and looks really natural.

Garnier Moisture Match – I use the dry to very dry version and I know some people didn’t like the new Garnier moisturiser line but I really have enjoyed using it. I wasn’t able to justify buying my usual Clinique moisturiser so decided to give this a try as it was on offer and I’e found it really plumps my skin, softens it over night and come morning, my skin feels nice and hydrated. I’m very impressed with this product, I must say.
